Catch-up: Our trip to PA!

I am so behind on this blog, probably the most behind I've ever been!  The hard drive on the laptop went out so that was the problem with that but we got it back today and it is all fixed!!

The last time I wrote was in early July and I am supposed to start up with July 7th.  I feel like it would be too painful to give a day by day post of the past sixteen days so I'm going to go ahead and recap with the main events.

Sunday July 7th and Monday July 8th were spent going to church (Sunday) and cleaning and getting ready for our trip to PA on Tuesday.  Our flight out on Tuesday didn't leave until 4:55 so we left for Dallas around 1 and the girls took their naps in the car.  David dropped us off at curbside check-in and then headed back to Longview because he had an evening flight.  The girls and I made it through ticketing and security without any problems but when we got to our gate the flight was thirty minutes delayed.  No problem for Haley, it us gave her more time to watch the airplanes.  It got awkward at one point when she kept going up to a little black girl who had her head buried in her arms and was trying to sleep and yelled 'wake up!'  I tried to explain to her that it was rude but then she just stood next to her and talked loudly about how the girl was sleeping and should wake up.

I had packed dinner in the diaper bag so after settling in on the plane we ate and then looked out the window and played with the magazines behind the seat until we landed in St. Louis.  Most of the passengers got off and we got to stretch out legs for a little bit and use the bathroom before the final flight to Philadelphia.  On that leg we had a whole row of three seats so that was nice.  I put the girls in their pajamas and they eventually drifted off to sleep and I got to rest a bit too.  Mimi and Pops picked us up in Philadelphia and Aunt Carly was waiting for us asleep on the couch when we got in.

Wednesday all of us went shopping at the Philadelphia premium outlets.  This was slightly insane because we brought all eight of the grandchildren and there were only five adults.  Just picture us trying on clothes in the handicapped dressing room with a bunch of kids running around, some crying, a spanking, pizza for lunch, and naps on the way home.  Needless to say, nobody bought anything, haha.  Mimi made steak sandwiches for dinner and the kids were pretty quick to go to bed from what I can remember...

THURSDAY was I think, literally, the best day of Haley's life.  Mimi, Carly, and I took the Brust and Canche cousins to Dutch Wonderland for the day.  Dutch Wonderland is a kid's amusement park that I went to as a kid.  I never considered it to be a 'kid's' amusement park until I went this time, haha.  Haley LOVED every minute of it.  She was not tall enough to ride over half of the rides but she didn't seem to mind and just rode the same rides over and over.  She rode the carousel at least eight times.  Mimi, Carly, and I kept commenting about how wonderful the kids were being and it really was amazing.  I guess they should have been considering where they were.  Emily even got to ride a couple of rides.  She dozed off in the stroller sometime in the afternoon and took a nice nap.  We were at Dutch Wonderland from ten until four so needless to say, most of the kids fell asleep on the way home.  Grandma DeWalt had invited us for dinner so we went there almost as soon as we got home.  She had made a huge dinner with even a separate kid's meal!  After dinner we hung out in the living room for a while before all packing up and heading to the airport to pick up Aunt Rin!  I'm sure when Aunt Rin stepped off the plane Haley could hardly believe that her day had gotten even better!  Kimi and I were front and center with Ellie and Emy since Rin hadn't met them yet.  Haley did recognize Rin but acted a little shy at first.  She was warmed up and in her arms by the end of the night though!

FRIDAY we spent a lot of time catching up with Rin!  We took it slow in the morning and then put the kids down for naps in the afternoon while Carly, Kelly, and I went shopping with Rin.  We left Mimi with the kids.  Apparently the kids heard we were leaving because none of them took good naps except Emy.  Only Emy slept the whole time we were gone, everyone else was wide awake and playing when we got back.  They were all walking around all over the house and Mimi was handling like the pro she is: on the phone.  Haha, it reminded me of when I was a kid!  Grandma and Grandpa came and watched the kids in the evening while the rest of us went out to celebrate Dad's sixtieth Birthday!  We had a late dinner which worked out well because we just put the kids to bed before Grandma and Grandpa even arrived.  When we got back around eleven, Grandpa was walking around with Emy.  Apparently she had woken up almost an hour prior and had just been hanging out with them.  They said she wasn't crying or anything, just wide awake!

SATURDAY morning Carly, Mimi and I secretly set up for Corinne's shower.  The shower was at Mom's house and we knew Corinne would eventually find out once she woke up so when she walked down the stairs we all ran to her and yelled 'surprise.'  I think she was surprised.  Her shower was at 12:30 so I let Haley and Emily stay up for the first hour or so and then I put them down for naps.  Haley, Calla, and Kelsey all wore matching dresses that Aunt Rin had brought them back from Africa!  It was a great shower if I can say so myself!  After the shower we sat around and talked about how great the shower was, haha, and then had dinner.  The sisters had another shower for Rin in the evening with a more specialized theme and Haley and Emy kept waking up while we were trying to have it.  Pops volunteered to be with Haley so I could be at the shower which was really nice of him!  He gave her some orange juice and apparently that was what she needed because she finally dozed off after that.

SUNDAY we went to church at Mimi and Pop's church.  I didn't get called out for Haley or Emily so that was good!  When I went to pick up Emily she was fast asleep in one of the worker's arms.  After church we went home and ate lunch (Dad picked up sandwiches from the deli, YUM) and then Carly and I loaded up and headed out.  We had our trip planned perfectly to start with naptime and end with nighttime.  Naptime kind of failed because Haley didn't even sleep an hour and Emy maybe slept an hour and a half.  It worked out though because they were happy when they were awake.  We stopped halfway through the trip for dinner and restrooms and then got back in the car for the rest of the five hours.  All of the kids fell asleep for the night then and Carly and I got to drive the rest of the way in peace.  David met us somewhere on eighty and we said bye to our Brust cousins and drove up to Michigan!  I'll try and recap our stay in Michigan tomorrow.

Shopping with everyone.  I'm not sure where Emy is in this one but she was there too.

Happy late 4th

I know I am behind on here and for once it is not my fault!  I actually feel quite a bit of pressure, I owe Pops and America a Birthday tribute.  Our laptop got a virus or something yesterday so it is at a computer repair place right now and hopefully we'll get it back sometime next week.  So I'm going to save my Birthday tribute for Pops until it is back because it has all our pictures on it.  We do have a back-up hard drive somewhere so if it never does get fixed then I can just use that.  At any rate, Pops will get a Birthday tribute.

On July 4th I had women's Bible study at our house.  David camped out in the spare bedroom and worked on the worship service for Sunday.  There were only two other ladies that came but it was still a good time.  Everyone left a about eleven which was when the Maglotts rolled in with their daughter Eva.  They have had a lot going on lately so I offered to keep Eva sometime so they could go on a date and they had chosen Thursday for lunch.  Eva is a super easy kid to take care of.  She is quiet and very low-drama, my kind of girl, haha.  Haley had a great time following her around and handing her her cup or snack anytime she happened to put it down.  I made grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch and Haley and Eva split one.  I put Haley and Emy down for naps around noon and Eva played around in the den by herself.  She was such an easy kid, I hardly knew she was there.

At one the Maglotts came to pick up Eva.  David had already headed over to the Smith's to swim and I waited for the girls to wake up and then I joined him.  I actually ended up waking Emily because she was still out but Haley and I were all ready to go.  We swam over there for two hours or so and then headed out because the Smiths had family coming in for dinner.  There were some festivities over at the fairgrounds so we went over there to see what they had going on.  Most of the stuff set up were vendors selling crafts and stuff or people advertising their businesses.  There were a couple carnival type rides set up but they were pretty expensive and Haley never asked to go on them so we weren't going to force her.  Plus we are planning on going to an amusement park when we are in PA next week so I figure she can wait until then.

Probably Haley's favorite booth was set up a little ways away from everything and it was basically a coral filled with bubbles.  I'm not sure what kind of machinery these people were using but they had a huge tarp and a literal coral with bubbles in it.  We let Haley go in and play around even though we saw kids walking away super wet and gross.  We told her you only live once.  She was a bit timid at first but soon she was up to her head in bubbles, literally.  In fact she got some bubble in her eye and was not too happy so the fun kind of came to an abrupt halt.  Anyways, come to find out, these people were actually advertising that they would set up a bubble coral in your yard for a Birthday party or event.  WHAA?!  No offense to these people but it was the WORST idea ever.  Not to have a bubble coral, but to actually advertise having a bubble coral by using a bubble coral.  From a distance it seemed like such a fun idea, but once you walked up and saw all he mud around the tarp from the bubbles, witnessed how gross everyone's kids were getting, and then had to comfort your crying child with bubble in her eye, it just seemed like a disaster.  Plus the bubbles kind of smelled.  They should have had a big picture with smiling kids playing in it and then so many people would have signed up.  Anyways, after the bubbles, we headed out and went to Caldwells who had invited us for dinner.

Ben had grilled up some burgers and hot dogs and we brought ice cream and cones for dessert.  We all ate and then the girls went outside and played in their toddler pool they had set up in the front yard.  It was one of those pools with a slide and Haley was not content to just slide down.  Here, this video says it all:

After the pool and dessert it was starting to get late so we headed over to the hill next to Kroger supermarket to watch the fireworks.  All of our lawn chairs were still in the van which was at the shop so David brought some folding chairs.  Fortunately Lucy was scared of the fireworks and wanted to sit in Amanda's lap so Haley got to sit in her chair.  Emily fell asleep on our way there but she woke up a little into the show and then watched the rest of it.  It was probably because she was so tired, but she sat nicely and watched for almost all of it.  After the fireworks we came home and put the girls to bed, they were so tired.

My girls with Eva Maglott in the middle

As you can see, Emily had swiped her snack.  She ate all of her Cheerios, oops.

At one point Eva laid down and Haley thought she was playing a game so she started calling out 'morning!'  Eventually she got out her doctor's kit to diagnose.

Emily in her patriotic garb, Haley wore that outfit last year, haha
Not sure about the bubbles
Completely sure

What a great idea!...not.

Watching fireworks, it was all a blur to sleepy Emily

Watching the fireworks, she said 'ooh' and 'ahh' a lot, it was cute.

FRIDAY was Pop's Birthday!  As aforementioned, a Birthday tribute will be coming up when our laptop gets fixed!!  We slept in and then went to the gym to run.  David's back has really been bothering him so he did ran about halfway around and it was making it worse so he just walked and then went and paid our internet bill at AT&T down the road while I finished and showered.

After the gym we came home and had lunch and put the girls down for naps.  I don't really remember how long they slept but once they woke up we went to Wal-mart to pick up a couple things because we had company coming for dinner.  I have been wanting to paint our front door red so we went by Wal-mart's paint department and picked out some red spray paint.  I know spray paint sounds like a bad idea but we figured it would be easier and why not?  After Wal-mart we came home and started making dinner for our company.

We were having a couple over that I know from MOPS and that go to our old church.  They have two little girls, one who is almost four and a baby who is four months.  Haley loved playing with the older girl, Ellie Mae.  I don't think I ever heard them fight over anything the whole time, I was pretty impressed.  We had grilled chicken, roasted potatoes, and corn on the cob.  I made chocolate mousse for dessert because the husband is allergic to gluten and that was one of the only things I could think of without flour.  After dinner we played a game called 'Brass.'  This couple, their names are the Oglesbees are super into games.  To them, Settlers is like playing Apples to Apples.  They play games that last six hours, it's pretty crazy.  Anyways, I won Brass, only by three victory points though which is like winning Ticket to Ride by three points.  At that point it was 10pm.  Emily had gone to sleep at eight and Haley and Ellie Mae were watching Dora.  The Oglesbees were just sitting there looking like they weren't going to leave anytime soon.  I asked if they wanted to play another game and they immediately said yes, haha.  I put Haley to bed while they set up Settlers and Ellie Mae fell asleep on our bed.  John (the husband) won Settlers but I had nine victory points so it was close.  After that they left, it was just before midnight!

David wrote Saturday for me on the Ipad, excuse any errors, it is autocorrect's fault.
Saturday was a very productive day at the Canche casa.  We were planning on getting to bed early the night before so we could get an early start on painting the front door but that idea was busted when some friends came over for dinner and stayed super late. I think around midnight.  Anyway, we cut ourselves some slack and got up with the girls around eight or so.  We had decided to go with spray paint for the door because we figured it would be easier and probably dry faster.  Even so, the can said 20 minutes between coats, one hour dry to the touch, and twenty four hour cure time.  Haley requested pancakes for breakfast, but as soon as that was over, we got going with the door project.  Katelyn helped me pull it off the hinges and then I taped off the hole so our air conditioner wouldn't run endlessly, and taped off the door.  It was frustrating that it took so long, but I just remember hearing people who know how to paint saying that time spent in prep work pays off.  Katelyn showered and then out Emily down for a nap while she and Haley went to Walmart to pick up some corn.  Every year, Katelyn waits for corn to go on sale, buys like 50 ears, husks and boils it, and that is our corn for the year. I stayed to finish prepping but got interrupted by Emily who did not feel like going to sleep.  I held her for a little while and finally just stuck the iPad in there with her.  By the time Katelyn got home and got lunch together, I had the first coat on.  We ate lunch and then I stuck another coat on.  The babies went to sleep, and Katelyn started on the corn.  We saw that it looked like there were some spots that needed to be evened out and Katelyn thought she knew a better way than what I was doing. She was right.  We make a pretty good team.  I husked corn while she painted till she realized she was gonna run out of paint.  She had to run to Walmart again quick for one more can. The final coat went on around 3pm.  A far cry from 24 hrs from the time we planned to go to bed. We finished husking and Katelyn boiled it and cut it and bagged it and did all of that.  She got twenty-eight bags out of fifty ears, they were big ears of corn.  During hat time the girls woke up. I played with them until we started to get hungry.  I wanted to do a family date because I won't be seeing them for a while.  We decided to go to JalapeƱo tree since the girls eat chips and tortillas there.  As soon as I asked Haley if she wanted to go eat chips, tortillas, rice, and beans, she said "and iced cream" because she knows they have an ice cream machine there. The girls were pretty good the whole time. Haley actually made it the whole meal without the iPad. We were basically sitting in the perfect spot to have kids. Close to a tv with baseball on it. After eating, Haley, Emily, and Katelyn had ice cream cones while I polished off a little container of warm honey they had brought for Katelyns tortillas.  I'm pretty sure I was about to pass out as we were leaving.  What's the best thing to do when this is your state? Well, hop behind the wheel and drive to work to operate some heavy machinery, of course! Haley was super excited to learn we were going to the airport.  Once we got the, however, she wanted nothing to do with the airplanes or the tractor (which she always asks me to draw together on her magna doodle), until Emily was gonna ride with me.  Even then, she indulged us with a few pictures but that's it.  After we fueled the airplane (I had a trip right after church Sunday) we put it away and headed home where we straight to bed.

Chloe comes to play

TUESDAY we had a pretty full day.  David left early in the morning because he had to work and the girls and I were up by eight and at the gym by nine.  I brought my stuff along to shower so I was all ready for reading time at 10:30 at the educational toy store down the road.  All of the books were about the fourth of July and fireworks, it made me wonder how the girls will do with them this year, I'll guess we'll see tomorrow!  After reading time we went home and grabbed our bathing suits and lunch and then headed over to a friend's house to swim.

My friend is Ellen Oglesbee, she does MOPS with me and invites all of the planning team from MOPs to her house to swim once a week.  She has two girls, one is almost four and the other one was born in March.  They also have three dogs which was kind of scary for Haley but the pool is fenced in and the dogs were on the outside of the fence so she was fine once she realized they couldn't get her.  I put the girls in their suits and they swam for maybe five minutes before Emy started to act cranky and hungry so I pulled out our lunch.  As soon as Haley saw the food she came right over.  It worked out because everyone else ate maybe twenty minutes later so we had the table and chairs to ourselves until they all started eating.

After lunch I held Emily at the steps and Haley played on the steps of the pool and I talked with other moms.  The only downside to the time was that Haley asked to use the bathroom three times!  I wish she would just go in the pool, oops, did I say that outloud?  She hadn't booed yet that day so I didn't want her to go in the grass because I was afraid she would start booing so I had to take her inside.  The second time she had to go we walked through the kitchen on the way to the bathroom (it's just on the way, no avoiding it) and there was Ellen's husband making a sandwich for lunch...AWKWARD!  I guess he comes home for lunch, nice to know, haha.  I was holding Haley and saying 'don't go yet, don't go yet' so I kind of smiled and said 'hi' and went on to the bathroom.  On our trip back outside he was gone so that was nice, haha.

We stayed at the pool until 1 and then everyone started to head out so we went home for naps.  The girls went right down and slept for almost three hours which was nice because then I could work on cleaning.  David got home right after they had woken up and I was feeding them a snack.  Then I made a dessert for small group while David played with the girls.  Our van needs its timing belt and serpentine belt changed so after I was finished with the dessert we dropped off our van at the mechanics place.  Haley was so excited to drive in Daddy's car, you would have thought he was driving the magic school bus or something.  When we got home David started feeding the girls dinner while I ran and picked up the baby-sitter.  Then David and I headed to small group.  When we came home Ella said that the girls had done great.  Apparently Emily had eaten a bunch of a hot dog for dinner and Haley ate tons of applesauce.  She said they went to bed really easy.  When she told Haley it was time for bed Haley said, "obey Ella, listen and obey."  Those were the instructions we gave her before we left, haha.  She ended up rocking Emily to sleep but she said she was out in minutes.

This morning I heard the girls talking in their room and the first thing Haley said when I walked in there was, "I had fun with Ella."  I guess Haley is pretty clear headed in the morning because it took me a couple minutes to realize what she was talking about, haha.  David was home all day so it really felt like a Saturday. We took our time getting up and then David made us pancakes for breakfast.  We took showers and got the girls dressed and then decided to run some errands.  First we went to a couple places to look at bistro sets.  My parents bought us a bistro set for our anniversary so we are still looking for the right one.  We have looked a lot online but this was our first time to see some in real life.  We found a couple maybes I think.  On our way home we stopped at a hardware store to see if they could cut us a piece of glass for an end table we got from a storage unit.  It is in pretty good condition but it's supposed to have glass on top and it didn't.  The hardware store didn't have thick enough glass but I grabbed a couple paint samples on our way out because I want to paint our door.

When we got home I started lunch for the girls since they were starting to get cranky.  Around eleven Meg Freeman dropped of Chloe Watson to play because her parents are in Houston right now with baby Claire.  We gave Chloe some lunch and then we all five loaded up in the Honda to drive David downtown to do a homeless ministry he does on Wednesdays.  Then I took the girls back uptown to meet a lady at Wal-mart who was buying some curtains from me.  Then we went to Target to find a bathing suit for me.  At first Haley and Chloe wanted to sit in the back of the cart and that made my life super easy but eventually they wanted to get out and play and that was a little harder because they both tend to wander off.  I told them to hold hands and stay with me but that made them silly and eventually they started running off.  They ran off one time and I brought them back and gave them a stern talking to.  The next time Chloe started to run off and she was calling Haley to come with her (to go see some toys) but Haley stayed right next to me by the cart.  I was so proud of her!  Way to go Haley, peer pressure?  What's that?

After Target we went back downtown and picked up David from his thing.  Then we went to the courthouse since it was right there and picked up Emily's birth certificate.  I decided we might as well have that thing and we've got to start thinking about getting a passport made for that baby.  Then we came home and put the girls down for naps.  Chloe slept in the guest room and Emily and Haley chatted it up in their room until they finally dozed off.  While they slept I finished my sweeping and mopping.  Haley woke up after about two hours and she and David went in and woke up Chloe because I didn't want her to sleep too long.  Chloe and Haley played in the den while I made my dish for the potluck.  Emily woke up almost an hour after the big girls.

When it was time for church we all loaded in the Honda and headed over.  Chloe knows everyone at church pretty good so we had lots of help getting the girls dinner and then they played with the other kids afterward. Emily got passed around a lot but she would do her 'want' signal anytime she saw me.  When she sees something she wants she squeezes her little hands together, we'll have to get a video or something.  While we were there I got a text from Melanie Watson saying that they made it home from the Houston Hospital.  They live really close to where we were meeting for church so we took Chloe home on our way home.  She was so excited to see her parents, it was really sweet.  When we got home we fed the girls a snack.  Emily has been getting up to eat the past couple of nights so I wanted to make sure her tummy was nice and full.  We are out of applesauce and yogurt so I pulled out a can of cranberry sauce that we didn't use at Thanksgiving.  Emily was not impressed but Haley ate several bites, haha.  The only other thing we had on hand that I knew Emily would fill up on was ice cream so we pulled that out.  She and Haley ate a big bowl between the two of them so hopefully Emily will sleep.

Haleyism:
Haley was playing a game tonight at church where she was pretending to sleep.  It was pretty much the best game in the world, complete silence and she was just laying there with her eyes closed, haha.

Emilyism:
Chloe loved to try and pick up Emily but Emily did not enjoy it and was pretty good at telling her.  She would usually screech and then start to cry.

Chloe and Ella having a snack.  You can see the end table behind them without glass, oh boy.

Sunday/Monday

SUNDAY David didn't have to lead worship so he was around in the morning to help get the girls ready for church.  It was really nice that he was there because he gave Emily a bath and got both of them dressed.  Emily was acting tired as we were getting ready which was kind of odd since she'd been up for hardly an hour so I brought a bottle along to church and she drank it and fell asleep during the sermon.  I brought the infant seat in and she slept in there, she's just getting a little too heavy to hold.

After church Melanie Watson invited us to eat lunch with her and Chloe and her parents.  Her husband Ron was home with baby Claire, the little baby with trisonomy 18.  They rotate Sundays going to church and staying with the baby.  We went to Texas Roadhouse which was a great fit for Haley since they have peanuts.  Melanie's Dad is a real baby guy so he held Emily the whole time while we were waiting for a table.  The odd thing was that Emily did not mind when I handed her over and she was happy to be with him the whole time, she really liked him.  He has a little bit of a beard so she was fascinated with that for a while.  She does not smile at just anybody anymore and is starting to get nervous around strangers so I was really surprised.  Haley and Chloe sat next to eachother during lunch and Haley didn't need the Ipad at all.  We are slowly weaning her away from that thing!

After church we came home and put the girls to bed.  Emy must have still felt fresh from her sermon nap because she was not going to sleep in her crib.  The problem was she wasn't crying either.  She kept standing up and cooing and talking to Haley which kept Haley awake and ended up being way worse damage than if she had been crying.  Finally I just took her out of there and put her in the swing where she fell asleep after a bit.  Neither of them really fell asleep until almost three and we ended up waking Haley up at four so that she would be able to sleep for the night.

We had invited the Creech's over for dinner so we got stuff out for tacos and made Mexican rice around five thirty or so.  They were supposed to come at six but she was waiting for her cookies to finish in the oven so they didn't arrive until closer to six thirty.  It worked out because by the time we had finished eating dinner and dessert it was time for the girl's bedtime.  I put them in pajamas and put them to sleep and then we played Cranium with the Creech's, boys vs. girls.  The boys won.

MONDAY David did not have to work so we had him for the whole day.  The girls slept in until about seven thirty and then I brought them back to my bed to cuddle.  Haley is super great to cuddle with and even falls back to sleep but Emily is super loud and crawls around.  To be honest, Emily ruins it, haha.  I made them waffles for breakfast and them dressed and started laundry.  David played with them while I took a shower and got ready for the day.  Then he took worked on the lawnmower a little while and took a shower with Emily.  After that he played with the girls while I kept going with the laundry and cleaned out the desk.  We ate lunch a little while later.  Emily had some yogurt and Haley ate some slices of Kraft cheese.  These girls really love dairy.  After lunch we played just a little while longer before the girls got tired and went down for naps.

They both slept pretty well, actually, so did David.  He fell asleep on the couch while I folded laundry and arranged to meet some people to sell a few more items.  We had got an inquiry about the lawnmower I had posted on FB so I had David call the guy and talk to him.  He said he didn't have money right now, but he was hoping we would be interested in trading for a powerwasher.  David quickly burst that balloon, but it was alright because he said he would have money by the end of the week.  David said he wanted to make sure everything worked before the guy came to look at it and when he tried to run it, it would not start! He finally discovered it needed a new air filter.  Then when he got it running he could not get the blades to keep turning.  It is one of those fancy lawnmowers that will run separate from the blades.  Anyway, he took it apart and found the defective part.  I looked online and helped him by researching forums.  Apparently, that is a common problem with this mower.  Anyways he found the part online, bought it for just under twenty-five dollars and the guy is going to come look at it later this week when the new part is installed.

While David was working on that I was playing with the girls but they were starting to get hungry so I gave them a snack while I started making dinner.  We haven't gone grocery shopping in a while so I just gave them some Raisin Bran Crunch cereal and they picked out the raisins.  I made meaty manicotti for dinner and we had that and then we quickly started straightening up the house because we had a MOPs informal gathering at our house tonight.  It was just a meeting to go over everyone's progress and play games.  There was cereal all over the floor from the girl's snacks so I was cleaning that up and David was taking folded laundry from the den to people's rooms when the first girl arrived fifteen minutes early!  I don't mind people arriving early, but fifteen minutes!!  She ended up taking chairs to the living room for me so it worked out.

David gave the girls baths and then they watched Dora in the girl's room.  Emily was getting sleepy so David turned off all the lights and put the volume on low and let Haley keep watching while he cuddled Emily and gave her a baby massage.  She eventually went to sleep and then when her movie was over he put her to bed too.

Haleyism:
Haley kept trying to convince David that she and Emily were "all done" in the bathtub so that they could go watch Dora.  He said she kept saying, "I done Daddy, Emily is done."

Emilyism:
Emily likes to bite and now that she has teeth it really hurts.

Bath time, sorry this picture is kind of rated R.
