Prognosis: Negative

Wednesday morning Katelyn has BSF so she took Haley and Emily over there with her.  It's cool because the kids have the same lesson as the adults.  The Bible really does speak to everyone at their level!  I did my devo's and headed out to do a little Christmas shopping.  Katelyn called when she got home and saw I wasn't there.  I went home and ate lunch with them.  Haley ate some cheese while Katelyn and I had leftovers.  Emily had milk.  She actually slept most of the time during lunch.  Then we all headed out to do some more shopping.  On the way there Emily wouldn't stop crying.  We were sick of it and I thought "I guess we could pray".  We prayed and instantly she was quiet.  I was scared.  My life is evidence that I don't pray enough because I don't truly believe in it's power.  That is the dumbest way to live.  I was actually glad when she fussed a little more a few seconds later because I was pretty scared about the immediate response and it made it seem like more of a coincidence.  However, as I communicated all this to Katelyn, Emily was quiet again and didn't cry anymore.  Katelyn said "see? He wants you to know it wasn't a coincidence".  haha.
Katelyn had a cool idea of a gift for the Caldwell family. She thought of giving them popcorn and bowls and a couple movie rentals as like a family date night thing.  We looked forgot to look for bowls at the dollar store so we tried Kohl's but they were all ceramic mixing bowls.  We had some time to kill so we walked over to Target and looked there.  Katelyn said "Let's check the dollar section at the front" as we walked in.  As we walked through the small aisle, she said "YES!"  She found these plastic re-usable popcorn containers.  They are red and white striped and say popcorn on them just like the ones at the movies.  Two big ones and two little ones for the babies.  It really could not have been more perfect.  Then we figured we would just get popcorn at Target since we were there already and when we were trying to figure out which kind to get, we saw a box that said "two free redbox rentals included".  God really loves us.  A few boxes of movie style candy completed the package.  Then we headed over to Dr. Bagnell's office for our 1:45 appointment for Haley and Emily to discuss their cough.  We all have a cough.  The good news is that nobody has RSV (bronchiolitis), but she figures we all have walking pneumonia except Emily.  I know that sounds worse but she said we shouldn't be concerned and should be over it soon.  Since we are travelling for Christmas though, she wrote out two perscriptions for antibiotics just in case the girls start oozing green mucus or getting fevers.  She said doctors now are actually saying not to give antibiotics to kids after two even with bad ear infections and such.  They help you get better sooner but you will get better anyway and your body gets stronger without them I guess.  Still though, we got all bases covered.
After the doctor, Haley took a nap and so did Emily.  I ran to Walmart to pick up some ingredients while Katelyn did her devo's and started on the cookies.  Then we worked on cookies until time for Missio Dei.  I also gave Haley and Emily baths before we headed out while Katelyn worked on dinner.  Then we went over there.  We had the typical potluck but just did a white elephant gift exchange afterwards instead of Bible Study.  We gave a purple monkey courtesy of the Brusts, A pink husband pillow with speakers in it courtesy of Rin, and a hairdryer also courtesy of Rin.  We received a puzzle, a redneck dictionary book, and some candle sticks.  I threw away the dictionary right away and afterwards Meg came up to me (she had given it) and asked where it was because "it cracks me up, I love it".  I will admit here that I said "uuuuuuhhhh I don't know..." although I knew well that I had strategically slid it down the back side of a pizza box so that nobody would see it all the way at the bottom of the trash bag.  That was an awkward few seconds.  Thankfully she got up and left soon after.  Haley pooped three diapers while there.  Diarrhea too.  I felt bad for her.  It obviously hurt.  We ran out of her diapers so she wore one of Emily's at the end.  Not sure why she had diarrhea since she had basically only eaten cheese all day.  Then we went home with a quick stop by Walgreen's to buy some eczema cream.  I had never heard of or seen eczema till I met Katelyn and I think it must be a white people thing.  One of the curses of the American dream...jk...but seriously... Although Haley is pretty brown...who knows?  Then the girls went to bed.  Katelyn made some more cookies.  I ran to Weston's house to haul a couch out to the front yard for the dumpster tomorrow and then called my college roommate for a while.  Now I'm writing this and I'm about to load some pictures while Katelyn finishes wrapping some presents.

The finished product.  I feel like you could see this next to those packages of sausage and cheese cutting board knife combo packages you see at Christmas in the grocery stores.  Pin it

Haley looks like she's hiding candy under the table and about to sneak a bite when we aren't looking.
