The beginning of April

Well I meant to write about the first half of April before the baby came but the baby came a little sooner than I thought so I'm going to do a quick summary of the first half of April and then I'll do a post about the baby.  This will be a picture post:

Emily at Wednesday night church, it must have been warm that day.

The Brusts came to Texas the first week in April because Jonathan's brother ("Uncle Ben") plays for Wisconsin and was in the final four in Dallas!  The girls had so much fun with their cousins, including one morning where they had this little for in the corner of their room.

Pops also happened to be in town for a LeTourneau trustee meeting!  He actually arrived a couple days before the Brusts and he treated us to Chick fil A one day for lunch.  He had a lot of meetings while he was here but we had him all to ourselves on Thursday night, Friday night, and Saturday morning.  One of his biggest tasks was reading books.

We all took him to the airport on Saturday morning.  He showed the kids some videos of Aunt Rin and Uncle Daniel in Uganda on his Ipad.

The Brusts came to church with us on Sunday and then headed out.  I like this picture because you can see that Carly's baby is a lot higher than mine!  We took it right before they headed back to Chicago.

David took a picture of me at 39 weeks, 1 day - the longest I was ever pregnant with Haley and Emy.

They were given these pink fire hats at the gym one day.

One Friday David didn't have to work so he made a raised vegetable bed and planted some herbs and vegetables in it,

Emy and Haley loved playing in the dirt.  We decided we need to get them a sandbox sometime.

After planting the garden we went to the Longview rodeo that night with the Yeakley's from church (the couple next to Dave).  The girls loved watching the animals.  

They spent a lot of time pointing.

One day Dave turned a movie on for them and found them watching it together in their car.

Last Saturday, the 12th, we went to a Young Life 5k.  It was in the evening so there were a lot of glowsticks involved.  David ran the 5k and the girls and I walked half of it with the girls in the wagon.  Julianne walked with me with her kids while Todd ran it.  Afterwards there was music playing and Haley and Jay were dancing together.  This is honestly the least blurry picture I took of them!

Sorry this is so short but I promise you that our April only got more exciting so I kind of had to glaze over the first half of the month!
