Catching up

Sorry I know I'm pretty behind on this thing, I'm going to try and catch-up a little bit tonight.  THURSDAY we had women's Bible study in the morning and David had to work so we were all up and starting the day pretty early.  Haley started the day a little earlier than usual when she came to my bed around 7.  She climbed up next to me and then started to make sounds like she was going to vomit.  I looked over at her just as a chunky (sorry for the full disclosure) piece of throw-up was landing on her pajama shirt.  I cupped my hand underneath her mouth and caught everything that came until we made it to the toilet.  She didn't throw up very much and it did not seem very acidic and runny like it has been in the past.  I cleaned her up and brought her back to bed with me to cuddle.

She actually ended up falling back to sleep after a couple minutes and I texted the lady who was hosting Bible study to get her opinion.  Her name is Meg and she's a little bit like my dad in that she likes to take care of any kind of medical needs 'in house.'  She can do a pretty good butterfly bandaid (like dad) and there have been families from church who have taken their kids to her for her to look at when they were injured (people do this to dad too).  Anyways, she asked me if Haley had any other symptoms (she didn't) and asked if the throw-up smelled really bad because that is an indication that she has a virus (it didn't, I was actually surprised when it was happening because I especially noticed that it didn't really smell that bad).  She also pointed out that all of the kids from Bible study would have already been exposed the night before at Missio Dei so they were probably going to get sick anyways.  I waited until 9 and Haley was acting completely normal and didn't show any signs of sickness so I decided to go.

It ended up working out because Haley was happy the whole time we were there and never once showed signs of throwing up or anything.  Emy, on the other hand, had a blow-out diaper about two minutes after we arrived.  I didn't have any extra clothes for her in my diaper bag because I haven't been bringing them along because I can't remember the last time she had a blow-out diaper.  She usually eats plenty of bananas and that keep her boo pretty solid.  Fortunately I had brought an extra outfit for Haley in case she threw up so I put that on Emy.  It turns out that Emy fit in Haley's 2T shirt and shorts almost better than Haley does.  The shirt was pretty big but she filled out the shorts better than Haley does.

We were at Bible study until almost lunchtime and then we came home and ate and I put the girls down for naps.  Haley woke up after just under two hours but Emily slept a solid three.  I played with Haley in the den and picked up the house a bit.  After Emy woke up we all just hung out in the den until dinnertime.  We were meeting a couple from church for dinner at El Sombrero, my favorite Mexican place in town.  David was just going to meet us at the restaurant since his flight got in just in time.  I packed everyone up and we headed out to get there at 5:30.  We were eating on the earlier side because I had Bible study with Ella and Chloe at seven.

Haley and Emy ate a bunch of chips and tortillas and watched the Ipad while David and I talked with Josh and Chelsie.  We hadn't hung out with them in a while so it was nice to catch-up.  They had never been to El Sombrero before and they ended up liking it a lot.  At about 6:50 Emily grabbed my full glass of ice water and spilled it all over the table and my pants.  It was pretty cold.  Her timing was pretty good though because I had to leave for Bible study.  David went home with the girls and gave them baths and put them to bed.  He said he had to give them a snack but then they went right to bed.

I'm going to give the rest of our weekend update tomorrow probably!

Haleyism:
At Bible study Haley was completely attached to one of our pastor's sons.  He is probably about ten and his name is Cade.  Anyways, they colored together most of the time and Haley ordered him around, I think she thinks she is some kind of royalty or something.

Emilyism:
Emily still does her weird little army crawl thing but she is not crawling like a normal baby yet.

This is one of us cleaning out our second storage unit, we had already cleaned out most of it at this point.

We went out to eat tonight for our anniversary

5 years!

This is a video of David making another amazing storage unit discovery
