Cute kids

This morning David had to work so he got up at 6am.  It worked out well because that was when Emily woke up.  He brought her to me and I fed her and put her on his side of the bed.  She slept until around 8:15 and then laid next to me cooed until I finally got up.  I put Emily in the tub to sit while I showered and then I washed her, I used to do that with Haley all the time.  After our shower I did my make up and hair and then decided it was time to wake up Haley so I could get Emily dressed.  I walked into her room and Haley was just laying on her pillow with her eyes open, that was at 9:30.  I got her up and we ate breakfast and got dressed and then headed out.

My MOPs table was getting together to do a service project.at my house at 11.  We put together activity boxes for foster kids to do when they have to sit in court.  I know, kind of random.  I had told everyone to pack sandwiches and I would provide sides so I had to run to Wal-mart to grab some chips and fruit.  Then we went to the dollar store to get some things for the activity boxes.  The dollar store is amazing, I can't believe the stuff in there for just a dollar.  At both places I left Emily's infant seat in the car and just carried Emily or had her ride in the cart.  It worked out pretty well, Haley is getting really good at holding my hand and just generally staying with me.

We came straight home from the dollar store and made it in the driveway about five minutes before the first mom arrived.  All together there were five moms there with a total of eight kids.  One of the kids is a little girl who is six days younger than Haley and has brown eyes and long brown hair just like Haley.  Her name is Susanna.  I thought Haley and Susanna would hit it off right away but they hardly noticed eachother.  I was pretty surprised because Haley is usually so social with Lucy and even Leeland but maybe this girl looked too much like herself, haha.

We put the boxes together and then went outside to eat lunch and talk.  Haley had a couple issues with sharing her toys but after I had a conversation with her she did much better.  I think she is okay letting people use her things as long as they know it is her's.  She kept walking up to people and saying, 'that's mine.'  It just seemed super rude so I told her to stop saying that.  After lunch the moms stayed and talked and then started to leave just before one.  David got home from his trip just as the last few were leaving.  He had brought us donuts back from the airport that his passengers hadn't touched so Haley and I were pretty excited.

I made Haley eat some more lunch and then I put her and Emily down for a nap.  Then David and I went outside and worked in the yard.  It was a high of 78 today so I decided to leave my house cleaning for Tuesday and Wednesday when it's supposed to be down in the lower sixties and fifties.  David kept working on the fallen tree and I mowed some.  Haley ended up sleeping about two hours and Emily slept just under three.  When they woke up I brought them each outside.  David had taken over the mowing and Haley just loved to sit at the picnic table and watch him work.  Every so often he would look over and smile and she would giggle, she loves her daddy.  A couple times she turned to me and said, 'Daddy's crazy!'

After a while I came inside and started dinner.  Then at 5:30 we went to the gym.  I know it seems super random to go to the gym right at dinner but there is a class at 5:30 on Mondays that David and I really liked to do together so we try to go when we can.  I fed Emily before we left and Haley had a snack.  When we went to pick the girls up Haley had different pants on, never a good sign.  Apparently she had used the potty three times already and then randomly peed on one of the dolls.  oops.  She had even used the potty since her accident so she totaled five bowel movements (just pee) in one hour.  I apologized profusely but the workers seemed to think it was no big deal.  I hope that kids peeing on toys is not that common though.

After the gym we came home and I put dinner in the oven and made some baby food while David played with the girls.  Then we had dinner and then David went outside and had prayer meeting around the campfire in the backyard.  He said seven men came and it went well.  While he was praying I did the dishes and put the girls to bed.  Then I put the monitor outside in case of an emergency and headed out to my Bible study.  When I got home David said neither of the girls made a peep so that was a blessing.  I think we're going to head to bed here soon.

Haleyism:
Today Haley kept saying, "Emily is so so cute."  It was cute.

Emilyism:
Emily is just so so cute.

This is a video of Emily being cute.  At the end you can hear Haley asking for the phone, at least she's polite.
