More fun with Mimi and Pops

WEDNESDAY the girls and I had BSF.  We met up with Mimi and Pops after Bible study for lunch at our house.  I made BLTs and we ate and then Pops played with Haley for a while.  Emily went down for a nap shortly after lunch, BSF had tired her out.  Pops was supposed to have golf in the morning but it was really raining so he ended up not going.  He and Mom had breakfast and went to a bookstore while we were at BSF.

Haley played with Pops for a while and then I put her down for a nap and Mom and I went shopping to look for flower girl dresses for Rin's wedding.  Corinne is getting married on August 15th, the date is set!  We went to Dillards and Mom looked at some mother of the bride dresses too.  We ended up finding a couple of dresses that we bought and brought home for Haley to try on.  After Dillards we ran by Hobby Lobby to browse for more wedding things.  While we were there Pops texted to tell us that Emily was awake so we headed home.

We were only home for a little before Pops had to head out to a meeting.  Mimi stayed with us and helped me get dinner and the kids set for evening church.  David got home around 4:30 so he also helped us get out the door.  Mom didn't have anything she had to be at until seven so she came to the potluck part of Wednesday night church.  She's visited before so most people had met her; she got to meet a couple of the newer couples that have joined our church.  Haley and Emily were both pretty good at church.  Emily was quiet for the first part of our meeting and then I sent her out with Haley's group.  After church we came home and put the kids to bed.

THURSDAY was the busiest day for Mimi and Pops so we didn't get to see them very much.  We got up and went to women's Bible study in the morning.  Haley was being so clingy and cranky at Bible study and I noticed she was whining and fussing with her hand in her mouth, kind of odd.  I figured she may be finally getting those 2 year molars so I asked Amanda if we could have some Children's Tylenol.  About fifteen minutes after she took that she was a different child.  She played nicely for the rest of Bible study.  Emily got super cranky about halfway through our study and I ended up putting her to sleep on Lucy's bed.

After Bible study we came home and ate lunch and then I put the girls down for naps.  Emily only slept an hour and a half, that was kind of a bummer.  Haley, on the other hand, slept almost three hours!  After Haley woke up we walked over to Nana's house for a visit but she didn't answer.  She has not been feeling well lately so we took her a get well card we had made.  She called me later on Thursday and told me she was still not feeling well but to please come again soon, poor Nana.

Around four I called Mom because she said she would probably be finished with her ladies stuff by then.  She was finished and said we could hang out if we wanted so the girls and I headed over to the hotel.  Haley brought her Curious George book along so we could read at the hotel.  Well, she totally forgot about the book once we arrived.  She spent most of the time running around the room and pretending to talk on their phone.  At one point she threw one of the pillows off the bed and then jumped off the bed.  The bed was as tall as her (she couldn't climb up it herself, she needed help) so I thought it was a little odd that she would think it was a good idea to jump off.  She seemed to think it was normal and didn't cry when she didn't land on her feet.

Pops came in at the end of our visit, Haley was pretty excited to see him.  They had a dinner at six so we ended up leaving around 5:30.  We had to pick up Chloe Watson from school anyways so it worked out.  Chloe was excited to see Haley when we picked her up, but I think she was more excited to see Emily.  She immediately asked to hold her, I told her she'd have to wait until we got home.  When we got home David had just arrived from work.  Haley and Chloe played while we waited on dinner and then we all ate together.  Chloe is such a good eater, it's so satisfying just to watch her eat.  I know, super creepy but true.

After dinner I put Emily to bed, she was so tired from her super short nap.  Then Amanda Caldwell and I met with the 8th grade girls from church (all 2 of them) while David took Chloe and Haley out for ice cream at Chick-fil-A.  He said they played in the play area for a long time and it was fairly easy.  Then David took Chloe home and came back and put Haley to bed.

Haleyism:
David told Haley and Chloe that they had to hold his hands on their way into Chick-fil-a.  This worked out fine until they decided that they also wanted to hold eachother's hands.  David said they were all holding hands and ended up walking into Chick-fil-a as a rotating circle, haha.

Emilyism:
Emily is so loud.  I think she is way louder than Haley was at this age.
