Mimi and Pops come!

Tuesday morning I had MOPs.  I had told Haley on Monday night that when she woke up we were going to see Mimi and Pops.  The first thing she asked for when she woke up was Mimi and Pops.  I told her she would have to wait until after MOPS.  As soon as Mops was over we headed out to the airport.  We weren't going to be finished with mops in time to pick them up but their plane got delayed so we were able to get them.  The airport is on the other side of town so it did take a while to get there and by the time we pulled up, Mimi and Pops were on the curb with their suitcases.  Haley had been chanting 'Mimi and Pops' for the last part of the drive so she was pretty excited.  Emily had fallen asleep.

We went right to Chick-fil-a to grab some lunch.  Haley hardly ate anything, she spent most of our time there in the play area.  Emily probably ate more than Haley, she worked on a couple french fries and some chicken.  Mimi and Pops told me about their plane ride and we caught up while we ate.  After lunch we went back to our house and played with the girls until naptime.  Then Mom and Dad went out to meet some friends they have from Longview while I put the girls down for naps.  Haley slept 2 1/2 hours and Emily slept three.  David got back while they were sleeping, they were pretty excited to see him when they woke up from their naps.

Mom and Dad got back to the house around 5:30 and I was just starting to make dinner.  I actually had to run out from 6:30 - 7 to go to a short mops meeting so David and Mimi ended up finishing dinner and getting it on the table.  Pops kept the children occupied.  When I got back we ate dinner and then Mimi presented some gifts from Uganda.  Aunt Rin had sent Haley some gifts for her Birthday.  She got her a dress and a doll, Haley liked both of them, especially the doll though.  Pops read Haley some books before her bedtime and then they headed out.  Mimi and Pops had been up since 3am (2am our time!) so they were pretty tired.  Emily had gone to sleep around 8 but Haley could not get to sleep for some reason.  She kept crying and crying and finally David and I just decided to go to bed ourselves.  I held her in our bed until we both fell asleep.  I woke up sometime during the night and put her back in her bed and she slept until morning.  It was so weird that she didn't want to go to sleep.

Haleyism:
Haley insisted on wearing a pair of Emily's pajamas to bed tonight.  She wore one of her gowns, it hit her at the knees.

Emilyism:
Mimi and Pops can't figure out who Emily looks like.  I think the blue eyes are throwing them off.

That's better
