Today was Aunt Kelly's Birthday! We were sad to not be with Aunt Kelly on her Birthday but we did get to call her and leave a Birthday message. Haley actually sang the whole time, I think that is her first complete Birthday message song. I'm sure Aunt Kelly couldn't ask for more, haha. I included some pictures below as a tribute:
Aunt Kelly and Haley in October of 2011. In this picture Haley was about the same age as Emily is now!
Clark, on the right, is Aunt Kelly's son. He is the cousin closest in age to Haley!

Aunt Kelly is expecting a little girl in May, we can't wait for her to arrive!! You can tell Carly is genuinely surprised here, she thought it was going to be a boy.
SUNDAY Emily was amazing and slept in until 7:45. I brought her back to our bed and fed her and cuddled with her until it was time to take a shower. She was super talkative and smiley but when David came into the bathroom about fifteen minutes later, he said that as soon as I left the bed she went back to sleep. What a stinker. I ended up having to wake her up so we could leave for church.
Emily may be a good sleeper at night, but she is not a good sleeper at church anymore. I ended up having to stand in the back of the church and walk around so that she wouldn't get bored. She is just getting too loud. I think next week I'm going to bring her portable swing and see if I can put her in Haley's class. The Masons invited us to eat lunch at Posado's with them after church so we headed there once clean-up was finished. Emily fell asleep on the way to the restaurant; it's maybe a three minutes drive, haha. Haley was ready for a nap but we held her off with tortillas and chips and the Ipad. She enjoyed feeding Caroline Mason chips. We didn't get home from lunch until two and as soon as we got in the door we put the girls down for naps. Emily had not slept very long at the restaurant. They ended up sleeping about three hours.
When they woke up we got their shoes on and headed out to get some pizza. We were having two couples from church over for dinner and games. We had them over two weeks ago to play games and we had so much fun so we decided to try and make it a regular thing. One of the couples is the Michael and Kelsey Grubbs and they just got married this past June. The other couple is Richard Yeakley and Jenna Avery and they are engaged and are getting married this July. All of them are pretty good with children and are constantly offering to hold Emily or help Haley do this and that so it is nice for me. We ate dinner while we played a game and then I turned on Haley's Dora movie for her. Emily hung out in her johnny jump up for a while and then she ended up going to bed after a bit. Haley went to bed sometime during the third game (we played Ticket to Ride, Bang, and a game that Richard invented called Conquest. He invents games, it's pretty intense). David won Ticket to Ride and Bang and I won Conquest. I know, the Canche's swept everyone.
Today was a pretty boring day to be honest. Mimi and Pops are coming tomorrow so we were pretty busy cleaning and getting ready for their arrival. I guess I clean on Monday's anyways, we just had more of an urgency I guess. Emily had a shot appointment at 8:50 so that was good motivation to get up and get going on the day. David was home so I left Haley with him and Emily and I were gone and back in about twenty minutes. The drive alone is about ten minutes total so that shows you how fast it was. Emily was pretty sad to get a shot but she recovered quickly.
When we got home I fed Emily breakfast and then got started on cleaning. Lucy arrived to play around 9:30 and she and Haley got right to it. They played pretty nicely the whole day except for one time when Haley hit Lucy and I had just told her that if she hit or pushed Lucy she would get a spanking. I was glad that David had witnessed the whole thing because then he got to do the honors. She didn't hit or push Lucy again after that. It was nice that David was home because he did the dusting and I hate dusting.
Emily took a morning nap around 10, I think she was tired from not getting to sleep in from going to the doctor's. She ended up sleeping almost three hours. She woke up just as I was putting Lucy and Haley to bed, convenient. Lucy and Haley didn't even sleep two hours. When they woke up they played with Emily for a while and then went outside. I put Emily down for a late afternoon nap around 3:30 and then David woke her up at 5:30 so we could go grocery shopping. I felt like I hardly saw Emily at all today with all of her napping!
We were doing our major grocery shopping trip for the month so it was kind of involved. We ate dinner before we left because we knew it might take a while. There was really no need for Haley to eat because she got a cookie at the Kroger bakery and the lady at the Wal-mart bakery gave her FOUR cookies! They are on the smaller side but still! First we went to Kroger, then Sams, and then Wal-mart. Kind of crazy I know. We only had to get a couple things at Kroger and Sams, the bulk of our shopping was done at Wal-mart. Wal-mart just has horrible meat and cheese prices and those are usually the most expensive things we buy so we get them at Kroger or Sams.
After grocery shopping we came home and David helped me unload the groceries and then headed out to the airport. He has a super early departure out of Houston tomorrow so they scheduled him to fly over the night before. I gave the girls a snack and then read them their Bible story and put them to bed. Haley has since woken up once coughing. If it happens again than that baby is sleeping with me!
Haleyism:
Today at dinner we gave Haley some leftover pizza and David and I had tacos. Haley ate some of her pizza and then asked for a tortilla. I gave her one and she asked me to put rice in it which I did. She then rolled it up and ate it, haha. Later I gave her a clementine orange for a bedtime snack and she laid them all on her plate and then started putting our grocery receipts (they had been on the table next to her) over her oranges and saying "night night oranges." She is a little strange.
Emilyism:
Emily laughs super loud.
