A busy Thursday

Today was women's Bible study at our house so I got up around eight and put a coffee cake in the oven and then got ready for the day.  Haley was awake shortly later and she ate a pop tart at the table until people started to arrive.  I was putting our dinner in the crockpot when Bonnie arrived, ten minutes early!  It actually worked out though because Emily started waking up just as I was in the middle of putting rub into a pork shoulder.  Bonnie got her for me.  Once everyone arrived we had some coffee cake while the kids played and then we did our study.  Two of the girls in my study are pregnant and due in early March, they are about a week apart.  It is their first for both of them.  One of the girls (her name is Suiledy, she is from Puerto Rico) held Emily most of the study today.  She even changed her poopy diaper and put on her clothes for me.  I offered to take her while she was eating her coffee cake but she said she needs to practice eating with one hand, I didn't argue with her!

After Bible study Amanda and I decided to have a quick lunch and then head over to a basketball tournament that two girls from church were playing in.  Ella and Chloe are two 8th graders that Amanda and I are going to start a Bible study with as soon as their basketball season is over.  I think this tournament was their last thing.  The girls and I have been to two of their games this season so as soon as we pulled in Haley said 'Ella and Chloe!'  She knows the drill.  Emily was very relaxed during the game, I never had to take her out of her infant seat.  It was not very crowded, I'm guessing because it was in the middle of the day and Haley took full advantage.  She was all over the bleachers, holding onto random people's knees to keep her balance.  Ella and Chloe won their game easily and we stayed a little after and talked with them before heading home.

When we got back I put Haley on the potty and then put her to bed, she was so tired.  Emily stayed up for a little bit and then I put her to sleep in the swing.  After two hours Haley woke up but she was soooo cranky. I gave her the paci and then took her to my bed and laid down with her.  I figured it couldn't hurt her to cuddle.  She laid very still and a couple minutes later she was breathing heavy!  It worked out for me because then I could take a nap too!  She slept about thirty minutes more and then woke up happy.  The most amazing thing was that her diaper was dry!  We played for a while and waited for Emily to wake up.  At one point Haley climbed into Emily's crib and was jumping around.  She started calling for me over the monitor but I was changing laundry so I didn't go right away.  Well I definitely should have because when I got there she had some boo in her panties.  Fortunately she had not peed so it was actually a pretty easy clean-up.

At 4:30 Emily was still sleeping but I really wanted to visit our neighbor Francis today so we woke her up and headed over.  Francis was really glad to see us.  She immediately took Emily and held her the whole time.  Emily cooed and smiled with her as usual.  Haley was happy to see Francis but that wore off after about two seconds.  I had brought some activities for her to do and a string cheese for snack so I tried to distract her with that while we talked.  Francis gave her a cookie during our visit which was nice.  Haley started to get cranky towards the end of our visit so that was my excuse to head out.

When we got home I fed Emily and started to get dinner ready.  David came home shortly after we did.  He had brought tortillas and chips from a little Mexican place on his way home.  I was using the pork in the crockpot to make tacos and we had invited the Smith's for dinner.  Unfortunately Weston was on a trip and his passengers showed up way late so they weren't able to come.  I told Meagan to come with the kids anyways but she had just put Kinsley down for a nap so we just decided to do it another time.  Instead David and I ate the tacos and then decided to run errands.  Haley was so whiney and we thought a change of scene might do her good.  She really perked right up as soon as we left the driveway, I guess she gets tired of our house.

First we went to Wal-mart to buy Emily some pacis.  We couldn't find her last located one after dinner and I think it was maybe left at Francis's house or somewhere in the grass between our house and there.  After Wal-mart we went to Kohl's to return something and then to Lowe's to return something.  We ended our evening by going through the drive through at Wendy's and picking up two 99 cent Frosty's for a treat.  Haley was pretty excited about the ice cream.  When we got home we ate our frostys and then put the kids to bed.

Haleyism:
Today David took Haley to the potty and she wanted M&Ms after so he said, 'what do you say?'  And she said 'please.' And he said, 'now, en Espanol' and she said 'por favor.'  David was pretty pleased with her, and himself for that matter!

Emilyism:
Emily eats applesauce and bananas pretty nicely.  We are going to try for sweet potatoes tomorrow.  She still does not roll over.
Haley took his picture with David's phone

Haley at the basketball game.  She didn't want to smile so we bribed her.  Bribery really works with Haley.
All of us.  Poor Emily was in the infant seat on the floor

From left to right are Amanda, Ella, Chloe, and I.  I was holding Haley like that because Meg specific that we were going to try for an adults only picture.  I obviously that she was going to zoom in more.
