Happy Birthday Tia Sarah! Love Haley and Emily

Happy Birthday Tia Sarah!  We are so sad to not be with Tia Sarah on her Birthday but we hope that she had a good one without us anyways!  David said he talked to her this morning and it seemed like she was having a good day.  Here is a little tribute to our youngest Aunt:

Sarah and Haley in December of 2011, I can't believe Haley was this small!

Tia Sarah doesn't have to be holding a baby to have a good time!
Last night was testimony that Emily's solid food consumption definitely affects her sleep.  She didn't eat much for dinner and I didn't force it too much and kind of made a half effort of giving her applesauce right before bed and she was up every three to four hours when the night before she had done eight!  I think it's definitely worth the mess of feeding Emily for the better sleep!  Of course when Emily has a bad night, Haley sleeps through without a hitch.  David left early this morning for a flight and the girls and I got up around eight to get to Bible Study Fellowship on time.  Haley now refers to BSF as Bible study, probably because I do but it is super cute.

She wore panties to BSF, I let her choose between them and a pull-up.  I thought maybe if she made the decision she would take responsibility for it and she kind of did.  When I picked her up from her class they said that she had sat on the potty but never went.  So that means she hadn't gone for over two hours!  I took Haley to pick up Emily and then we went straight to the bathroom where she went.  She was announcing to all of the ladies in the bathroom that she had gone 'pooh pooh potty' (um, no it was just pee) and that she had to wash her hands.  A couple girls from BSF that are also in my MOPS group were going to Chick-fil-A for lunch and since Dave wasn't home anyways, I decided to go along.  Emily fell asleep on the way there so she ended up staying in her infant seat for most of the time and being pretty easy.  Haley ate some french fries but spent most of the time in the play area.  She attached herself to two older girls who were sisters, maybe three and five years old (like Calla and Kelsey!) and spent most of the time with them.  I think she realized she liked them when she was them catering to her every whim.  At one point she was standing on a step and yelling '1-2-3' and jumping to them.  My group sat right next to the play area which is in a glass room so we sat and ate and talked while watching the kids play.

Haley used the potty three times while we were at Chick-fil-a.  I took her shortly after we got there and the other two times she asked to go.  At one point she looked at me and said 'tee tee?'  I thought that was kind of funny because everyone down here calls pee pee, tee tee and I know her BSF teachers call it that so she was probably a little confused today, haha.  We left Chick-fil-a just before one so we could get home in time to meet Longview Pest Control who was coming to spray the house.  They come four times a year to spray the house for bugs and roaches so this was just a routine, preventive spray.  We are allowed to call between sprays if we see anything and they will spray an extra time for free.  I know the extra sprays are if you actually have an infestation or something but I call for extra sprays if I see anything at all, I'm not taking any risks!

After the guy sprayed I put the girls to bed and did my Bible study.  David came home about an hour into the girl's naps.  He changed his clothes and we talked for a bit and then he headed to hospice to visit Ray.  Apparently Ray is getting pretty close to the end.  Gwen put an ad in the paper to tell people that he was at hospice and if anyone wanted to visit him they should do it soon.  His Birthday was today, he turned fifty-four.

Emily woke up after two hours but Haley ended up sleeping for almost three!  It was nice to have some alone time with Emily.  She's still not rolling over but she makes up for it with spitting and smiling.  David came home around five and I was just starting my meal for the church Wednesday potluck.  I made a chicken and sundried tomato pasta recipe I found online.  A girl from MOPS made it for me when I had Emily and it was so good.  She keeps forgetting to give me the recipe so finally I just looked it up online and it was everywhere.  Anyways, if you are interested click HERE: Chicken and Sundried Tomatoes Pasta Recipe.  Grandma and Grandpa DeWalt were here when we had this and I know Grandma was interested in the recipe so just click that underlined part Grandma and it will take you to the recipe!  It was pretty easy and it got rave reviews at the potluck.  The only thing is that it has mushrooms and I know not everyone is into that, Dave isn't anyways.

Haley was so excited to go to church but once we got there she was super reserved and clingy.  After 1 1/2 pieces of pizza she was running around with everyone like usual.  I guess she was just hungry.  Instead of our normal 'Sunday School class' Wednesday format, Dr. Liebengood did a short service on the meaning of Ash Wednesday.  It was pretty interesting but I missed the middle part because Haley had to use the bathroom.  She booed, so worth it.  After church we came home and played with the girls for a bit and then I put them to bed.  I fed Emily some squash before bed to top her off, hopefully she sleeps well!

Haleyism:
Today Haley was walking away from Emily and she said, 'bye by Emily, have fun!'  I guess I say that to her when I drop her off places or something.

Emilyism:
Emily is not a fan of cold squash but when I heated it up a little she ate it like a pro.

She's saying Happy Birthday Tia Sarah!

Look out Michael Phelps, this baby is working on her butterfly stroke!

David got some video of Emily's progress on rolling over
