Sunday-Monday

SUNDAY morning we got up a couple minutes earlier than usual because we were signed up to bring donuts.  Dave ended up having to get them and then come back to pick us up because we weren't quite ready yet.  It turned out to be a blessing because Haley went to the potty while he was gone and peed what seemed like a gallon.  It would have all been in her pants if we hadn't been running late, probably...I'd like to think so anyways.

We left Haley in her panties at church and just took her to the potty every so often.  I took her right before her class and then put a diaper over her panties and then took her right after her class.  She did not go in her diaper at all and ended up using the potty four times while we were at church.  A guest speaker came and spoke on the transfiguration.  He is a Bible professor at LeTourneau named Dr. Roudkovski (he's from Russia).  Corinne had him for Greek while she was there but David and I never had him.  It was such a good sermon, I wish we would have recorded it.

After church we came home and had lunch and then the girls went down for naps.  David spent naptime working on our guest bathroom septic problems.  He had his arm at least elbow deep in boo but now it is fixed, everyone can come visit now!  After naps we played with the girls until around 5pm when we headed to the Maglotts to watch the super bowl.  Our small group from our old church was getting together and the Maglotts had made shredded pork to eat with chips and queso.  I know it doesn't sound very good but it was amazing.  She got her pork marinade recipe from Pioneer women and I will be using it in the future for sure!

The super bowl turned out to be a pretty good game.  After the first half I thought it was going to be boring but it ended up to be so exciting at the end!  I put Emily to sleep on the Maglott's bed at halftime.  She went right down after I fed her, it's so easy to feed babies to sleep, I know I'm not supposed to make a habit of it though...  Haley stayed awake for the whole game.  We changed her into her pajamas at halftime and when she started to get tired she cuddled on the couch with me and watched Elmo's World on David's phone.  I figured if we're watching TV, she might as well be watching something she actually likes.  We had her in panties the whole time we were at the Maglott's and she did not have any accidents.  David set an alarm on his phone and we just took her to the potty every thirty minutes or so.  After the game was over we came home and put the kids right to bed.

This morning Haley slept in until 9:20, she was recovering from her late night.  Emily woke up at 7:45 but I brought her back to bed and held her and she slept in with me until 9.  Lucy Caldwell arrived around 9:30 to play.  Haley was so excited to see her.  She was still in her pajamas.  Lucy and Haley played all morning while I worked on cleaning the house and doing laundry.  I took a shower while Emily took her morning nap and Lucy and Haley played.  I turned on some music for them in the den and they were jumping on the couch.  While I was in the shower I kept listening for crying because I could just see one of them accidentally jumping off and hitting their head but neither of them did.

I fed them lunch around 12:30 and they went down for naps at 1:30.  While they napped I swept and mopped the hardwood and then did my Bible study.  Amanda came to pick up Lucy around 3 but she was still sleeping so she stayed and talked for a while.  Once the girls woke up we fed them snacks and then kept talking.  We were still talking at five when David walked in from work!  It was nice to have a kind of unplanned playdate like that, I know the girls enjoyed it.  Amanda was telling me about their wedding (almost six years ago) and we were throwing around different ideas to make Valentine's day special.

The Caldwell's left shortly after David got home.  I had been starting dinner so I threw that in the oven and then we headed out to the gym.  The parking lot was pretty packed but we found a spot and were able to make it into my favorite class we do there.  Haley did not have any accidents in her class and she used the potty once.  When we got home we ate dinner and then started getting the girls ready for bed.  I was feeling pretty good about Haley's potty training today.  She didn't have any accidents and asked me several times to go potty, even with Lucy here.  She even asked to go potty and had a big boo this morning.  Well, all of that came crashing down when she got down from the table and had an accident but not just any accident.  Haley had diarrhea.  I didn't feel too badly about it because I honestly think she would have told me but it must have come too fast.  She was rummaging through the diaper bag when she stood up with kind of a funny face.  I immediately grabbed her and high-tailed it to the potty but she had already gone.

I didn't realize it was diarrhea until I started taking her pants off at the potty.  It was all over the place and so nasty.  David had to take her clothes outside and hose them off and I had to clean Haley off in the bathtub.  She was pretty mortified about the whole thing and kept saying how yucky and bleh it was.  We ended up putting her in her pajamas and diaper after that in case she had to go again.  I read her and Emily a bunch of books and then we put them to bed.  Haley asked to use the potty twice during the bedtime process.  David was putting her to bed while I fed Emily and she said, "pooh pooh potty."  He told her it was okay and to just go but she said, "Tell mommy go potty!" over and over.  She was quoting me because I probably say 'Tell mommy when you have to go potty' to her about one hundred times a day.  He took her and she went.  He also took her literally two minutes later when she said the same thing and she went again.  I think Haley has pretty good bladder control.  Emily went right to sleep but Haley took a while.  We finally gave her some Ibuprofen in case her teeth were hurting or her head hurt (she did fall off the couch today after Lucy went home and fell on the hardwood, she's okay though).  I kind of wonder if she just wasn't tired after sleeping in so late.

Haleyism:
I guess I make the sound 'dooweet' when I wipe Haley's bottom because now everytime I wipe her she says it, haha.

Emilyism:
Emily is starting to have a mind of her own.  She doesn't like to be put down and left.  If you stay there next to her she's fine but if you leave the room she'll start to cry.

Sorry I forgot to take pictures the last two days, lame I know.  David had some pictures on his phone from Saturday though so here they are:
