Dippin Dots

Wednesday morning Katelyn has BSF so I helped her get the girls ready to go.  Off they went and I headed out to the airport to fix an expense report that I had messed up. Katelyn called when she got out around 11. She says one thing that was interesting was that when she dropped Haley off in her class the ladies were glad she had her paci.  Katelyn thought maybe she was really bad last time or something, but they said it was because they were learning about Abraham sacrificing Isaac.  Apparently during the kids class, they made all the kids take their prized possession (in Haley's case - a paci) up to a little table with a cross over top of it to symbolize the sacrificing of their own personal "Isaac".  Pretty cool.  Pretty intentional.  I had a meeting at noon at Buckner which included lunch so I wasn't able to go home, but Katelyn fed them lunch and then played with them a while before putting them down for naps because we had church tonight and she didn't want them to be tired since we can get home late sometimes.  After I got home, we each read for a while and then Haley woke up.  Apparently she had only been asleep just over an hour but she was wide awake.  Emily slept a little longer and then we headed out to the mall.  We needed to get Katelyn's wedding ring fixed  because the diamond is loose (scary...) so we all headed that way.  It was kind of a rainy day today in Longview so it was one of the only things we really could do other than be stuck at home.  Haley likes to play on the "jugetes" in the middle of the mall.  We are too cheap to actually stick a quarter in one of them for her to ride and she doesn't seem to know the difference.  She likes to push the little buttons and just climb in and out of them.  Since we have been potty training though, she has been fed a lot more candy.  It seems like candy is always on her mind (kinda like psalty the singing songbook).  I totally forgot that right next to the rides in the mall is a group of probably twenty of those 25c candy machines.  She screamed TANY! which means candy and ran over there.  Surprisingly enough, she wasn't really asking for any, she was just pointing out the different kinds.  She knows M&Ms and called most of them that kind.  Good and Plenty's were just "tanies" and any kind of gum or larger candies were balls.  I was not just giving in, I swear I had already planned to do this, but there is a Dippin Dots in the mall.  I thought it would be cool to let her try those.  She liked them of course.  Most of this stuff happened while Katelyn was in the Zales store talking to the people.  By the time we were done there it was pretty much time to go home because we had to make some roasted potatoes for Missio Dei.  Right before we left I saw my life flash before my eyes as Haley said she needed to use the potty.  I had been asking but I knew it was a ways away.  I ran over there with her.  It was a false alarm (or should I say fart alarm?).  Emily did great by not making a sound in her infant seat in the jewelry store.  At Missio Dei she ate part of a piece of pizza and played with some kids but was kinda clingy.  Emily was pleasant for the most part.  Haley even told Marrietta when she had to use the potty.  She now only wears diapers to sleep.  Then we basically came home and Katelyn tried to feed Emily some banana and applesauce before we put them to bed.

Haleyism:  Haley had many false alarms today.  I guess it can be difficult to tell the difference between gas and actual poop sometimes.
Emilyism:  Meg held Emily tonight during the prayer and it sounded like a raccoon trying to claw its way out of a trap because Meg was wearing a waterproof jacket and Emily was scratching at it.

Emily "eating"

Haley will do anything to make a sale even if it means yelling after a kid to buy an ice cream cone.
