Tuesday morning I had a meeting for MOPS and David didn't have to work so I left the girls with him. I thought it would be a great option because then they could both sleep in but when I left they were both awake. Neither of them had a particularly good night. Haley actually woke up two times and she usually never wakes up so that wasn't cool. I left at 9:30 and got back just before 11:30. David said he read books with the girls, got them dressed, put Haley on the potty various times, and attempted to put Emily to sleep. When I got home his attempt had obviously failed because she was crying in the swing. I took her out and fed her and she ended up drifting off then. She wasn't supposed to be hungry but I think the crying made her hungry. We have got to get that baby on a bottle.
David is going on a three day trip tomorrow so we decided to have a family date for lunch. First we went to 'Pump it Up' which is a place that basically just has those big blow-up things everywhere. We went there a couple weeks ago with my MOPS group and it was then that I realized that both of my kids are under two so it is completely free for us to go. It was a lot more fun this time because it was not as full and we had David along. He taught her how to climb up the slide and went down with her a bunch. The only downside of our time there was when Haley had an accident. I blame myself because I really should have put her on the potty by that time. We had her go before we left the house but I hadn't had her go since we had been there. It's a good thing those blow up things are that heavy-duty plastic, they are super easy to wipe off. I know it seems dumb to not put a pull-up on her but I was told that it makes the potty training process go faster in the long run. This was our first away-from-home accident besides the one at the gym so we're doing okay I think. There were only two or three other moms there with their kids and David said he was pretty sure they didn't notice. I just casually carried Haley out, put her on the potty in the bathroom, changed her pants, and let her go back to play. Then I casually went over to the toy she had been playing on (no one else was playing in it) and wiped up the little drops. Nothing to see over here folks!
After Pump it Up we went to Chick-fil-A for lunch. Somebody gave us a giftcard to there back when Emily was born and we still had some money on it. Also, David got me a giftcard to there for my Birthday but it didn't work last time I went and when I called the number on the back (like the people in the store told me to do) the people on the phone told me to have the people in the store fix it. Oh my. I just gave it to Dave and asked him to take care of it. He took care of it while we were there and I was glad I had him do it because it was no easy task. Haley went to the potty while we were there but it did take some bribing on my part. She was on the potty insisting that she didn't have to go and I told her that she could have some ice cream if she went. She immediately stopped whining and started peeing. It was pretty amazing and very telling. David bought her a 92 cent ice cream cone and I decided it was well worth it. Emily slept through our time at Chick-fil-A. She was starting to fuss so I put a blanket over her head and she went right to sleep in her infant seat.
When we got home we put the girls down for their naps and then David went to the airport to update a plane and I ended up falling asleep on the couch too. David got home after an hour and a half or so and the girls woke up about two hours later. David played with the girls while I straightened up the house for the baby-sitter. David and I were meeting with our small group tonight for dinner and discussion and we had a girl from church coming to watch Haley. Our normal baby sitter, Leah, is moving away and she didn't feel well today so we asked an 8th grader, Ella, to come watch Haley. Haley got clingy and weird as soon as Ella walked in but Ella said she did not cry when we left. We tried to just sneak out so maybe that helped. Ella said that Haley went to the potty two times and then one time she was sitting on the potty and went but her panties were still up. Ella was doing dishes in the kitchen so that's why she missed it. When we got home Ella had just gone in to get Haley after putting her to sleep almost thirty minutes prior. She said Haley started crying and she thought maybe she was afraid of the storm (it was raining outside, not really thundering too bad but I could see why she thought that). I took Ella home and then came home and we put the girls to bed.
Haleyism:
It was not a super great potty training day for Haley. She was on our bed talking about the accident she had there a couple days ago. She kept going over to the spot where she had peed and saying ' pee pee on bed, yuck, bleh.' A couple minutes later she peed on our bed.
Emilyism:
Today I put Emily on her tummy and went and did something and came back and she was on her back. I am not super confident that she rolled over though because Haley was right there and a lot of times Haley will roll her over. We'll keep you posted on this one.

| Blurry one of Haley jumping, I know I need to adjust the shutter speed on my camera! |
| It was hard to get a good picture with all of the jumping! Notice the shorts and short sleeves, it was almost 80 today! |

Doesn't Haley know she is too little to do all that big girl stuff? I think you should dress your kids in typical winter clothes just so the rest of us don't feel bad. SHORTS??? crazy. Love, Mimi
