Last night was not such a great night. I thought we were over our Haley woes when she slept great on Monday night but it is clearly not over. First Emily kept waking up even after I fed her and everything, I wonder now if she was cold or something. I ended up just bringing her back to our bed around 1:30 and she slept the rest of the night without needing a feeding until 8:30 or 9. Her night feedings have apparently just been cries for attention because she doesn't need to eat! Haley woke up around 5:15 and didn't really go back to sleep until 6:40. She kept waking up and crying even after I brought her back to our bed, and then put her back in her own bed (her request). I finally ended up giving her some ibuprofen and a bottle. She went back to sleep and slept until 10:30.
When we got up I heated up some pancakes for Haley and she was about to sit down and eat them when she looked at me and said 'boo-boo.' I smelled her but she didn't have any so I asked if she wanted to go on the potty and she said yes. I sat her on the potty for the next ten minutes or so and she ate her pancakes and hung out and then got mad and wanted to get off. I figured that I didn't want her to have any bad associations with the potty so I let her off and put a diaper on her and got her dressed for the day. Approximately two minutes later she pooped her diaper, oh well.
While we were waiting at the potty, the post office person came and brought our mail. In the mail was a box from Amazon with my new camera! Several family members from my family (you know who you are...is it Caleb, Kimi, Rin, and Kelly and Mom?) all chipped in to get me a camera for my Birthday and it arrived today. I spent some time messing with it and trying to figure out settings and stuff and taking pictures. You can expect lots of pictures now on this blog, no more depending on David to be around with his phone!
At twelve we headed to the gym. I would have gone earlier but that was the earliest spot they had for a baby. Haley had been getting cranky but she got excited when we pulled up. The twelve 'o clock spot is a great time because there are hardly any people in there and Haley and Emily get a lot of attention. I ran and watched them on the screen and Haley was having a good time I think. I could tell she was being a little bit of a stinker though, she kept knocking toys off of one of the tables on purpose. I took a shower and then picked up the kids and we came home for lunch.
David came home as we were eating lunch, Haley saw him through the window and got pretty excited. He and I played with the girls and hung out until naptime. Haley must have been tired from her night because she slept three hours! Emily took a nap, woke up, and was taking a second nap when Haley finally woke up. By then it was after five! David suggested we go out for a family date and I conceded without a fight so after she woke up we bundled up and headed to a Mexican place called Jalapeno Tree.
We were seated and just giving our drink order when the Caldwell's walked in! We were so surprised to see them since it was kind of late (after six) and there are so many places to eat in Longview and we happened to choose the same one on the same night. We moved over in our booth and ate together. Haley acted pretty casual when she saw her friends, I guess she and Lucy had conspired it all yesterday. The kids did so well at dinner, David and I were talking about it afterwards and it really was uncanny. Emily took the cake by sleeping in her infant seat the entire time. Haley ate a bunch of crackers and sat nicely in a booster seat and Evelyn and Lucy ate really well and hardly interrupted. We ended up turning the Ipad on after a while because Haley started asking for it. She definitely knows that it is normal for her to watch it when we go to restaurants.
After our meal we said good-bye to the Caldwells and went to Target to conclude our family date. We went to pick out some new underwear for Haley. I bought some for her for Wal-mart a while back but it is too big and she doesn't really like them. I let her pick out some and she chose a Dora the Explorer pack. Hopefully that will be a big incentive for her to use the potty... After Target we came home and put the girls in their pajamas and put them to bed. Haley had a bit of a hard time falling asleep, I think because of her long nap but eventually she went down. Emily had hardly been awake since sleeping during dinner but she went right down.
Haleyism:
Haley was less fussy today, hopefully she is feeling better!
Emilyism:
Emily still coughs a little but her nose is less runny. I don't think she's ever had a fever or anything.

| Haha, this is how we get Emily to sleep, we cover her with a blanket. She immediately relaxed as soon as I put this on her. Don't worry, I took it off after a minute or so. |
