Canche Chronicles: Two strange babies

Last night Emily did pretty well. I forgot to write down the times she woke up but I know she had a five hour stretch in there. I got up before the girls so I could get ready for MOPS without them. I actually ended up having to wake them up to go around nine. I got Emily out of her crib and started changing her diaper and getting her dressed and Haley woke up to the sound. Haley is so funny when she wakes up. She quietly gets out of bed grabs her bunny and leaves the room. I wouldn't have even known she was up except I saw her walking out the door out of the corner of my eye. She is kind of a strange baby.

I quickly got Haley dressed and fed and then we all headed out the door to MOPS. I still keep Emily with me during MOPS because she likes to take her morning nap during the meeting. She usually gets passed around during the first part of the meeting and then I hold her during the rest of it and falls asleep. She did that today except she is much more verbal now so the times when she was awake, she was making her baby pterodactyl sounds a lot. At one point everybody was taking a quiz to see if they were frugal or cheap (today's session was about finances) and I was waiting for everyone to finish to go over it so I put the mic up to Emily's mouth and she made her pterodactyl sounds through the sound system and for some reason it just really got my funny bone. I don't think many people noticed because they were still taking the quiz...

After MOPS we came home and had lunch with Daniel. Haley loves having Daniel here, I'm pretty sure she considers him to be one of her closest friends. I'm also pretty sure she thinks he eats lunch with her so that he can watch her do funny little things she thinks of. After lunch I put Emily to bed and played with Haley for a while. David had been out to lunch with a guy from church so I let Haley stay up until he got home so she could see him for a while. They played for a bit and then I put her down for a nap. My timing was pretty bad because Emily woke up a couple minutes after I put Haley down. Emily played with David or I and ended up falling asleep again just before Haley woke up so I did have a couple minutes today with both babies sleeping.

After Haley woke up we went to the gym because David and I wanted to sit in the hot tub. I know that sounds pretty lame but we were both feeling sad that our Christmas vacation is over so we thought it might help to hot tub, haha, it kinda did. Emily was asleep when I put her in her infant seat, she stayed asleep on the way to the gym, slept through her entire time at childcare and was still sleeping when we got home. As far as she knows, we never went to the gym today.

When we got home I made dinner, chicken with a basil cream sauce. Daniel said he liked it and we told him it is one of Rin's favorites, maybe they are meant to be! After dinner we played with the girls for a while and then I put them to bed and Daniel, David and I played Settlers. We all had bowls of ice cream and played, it felt a little bit like vacation. We ended up playing three games, David won two and I won one. We each took turns setting up the board. Daniel almost won the last game by the way, it was close.

Haleyism:

Daniel was playing his guitar today and Haley kept asking for his picks. When he eventually gave her one she promptly dropped it into his sound hole.
