Friday was a pretty busy day for our family. We had a MOPs event to a Kids discovery museum in Tyler in the morning. Tyler is about forty-five minutes away so Amanda Caldwell and I carpooled together. Evelyn and Lucy rode in the back of the van, Haley was pretty excited about the whole arrangement. Probably the lowest part of the car ride was when Haley pulled a huge boogie out of her nose and then yelled 'Ms. Amanda, Ms. Amanda!' and tried to give it to her. This was pretty horrifying for me especially because she has never pulled anything out of her nose before!
Once we got to the museum it was pretty much playtime for the rest of the morning. I will let the pictures do the explaining:
| Playing in the restaurant exhibit |
| Lucy is the blurry person |
| A lot of the pictures of Haley are blurry because she was moving |
| Ringing up a customer |
| That boy came in and started throwing plates and dishes everywhere. Haley was rather shocked by it |
| Sitting in a basket |
| Playing on a pretend computer |
| Playing fireman |
| First date at the movie theater |
| This little boy is also in Haley's BSF class so she knows him pretty well |
| The hand holding was definitely staged, haha |
| Haley was trying to climb through the hole at first |
| Hanging out with Evelyn and Lucy |
| Emily at the museum |
The only observation about Haley at the museum was that she moved super slow through all of the exhibits. We were usually the last people to leave the areas. We had packed a lunch along so we ate that in the minivan on the way home. As soon as we got home I put the girls down for naps. David had been flying and he made it back shortly after we did. Haley slept about two hours and Emily slept closer to three. When they woke up we packed up and went to the park. It wasn't super nice out but it was warm enough to park far away and run to the playground.
After our run we went to a Mexican restaurant called Jalapeno Tree for a date. Haley was in a super good mood for whatever reason and Emily just chilled out in her infant seat so it was a fairly easy date for David and I. I gave Emily some salsa, it's pretty mild there, and she seemed to like it okay. Since the girls were doing so well we ended up staying for a while and talking. After dinner we came home and let the girls play for a little bit and then put them to bed.

| Eating ice cream. Jalapeno Tree has free soft-serve ice cream! I love how Haley is licking too, haha. |
| Being a good girl |
Haleyism:
Lucy started crying on the way home from the museum and Haley started saying, "no more crying Lucy!" Just like I say to her, haha.
Emilyism:
Emily was unimpressed with most of the museum. It was a good thing that kids under 2 were free because she didn't get anything out of it.
Haley must get her museum habits from her mom - getting the most out of each exhibit!
