This is one of my favorite videos of Abuelito and Haley
I had to get up just before eight to get ready for MOPs. Emily was up shortly after eight and then we had to go and wake Haley up to leave. I waited until the last minute and even made her a pop tart for breakfast so she could just eat it in the car. I took Haley to the potty before taking her to her class and she went boo, that was nice for the workers. Her pull-up was on throughout her class but she kept it dry and went potty for them twice. They said she had been asking to go a lot and not going. I know what that means, she has to boo more. I took her to the potty after I picked her up and she booed again. I wonder if she had been holding onto that since her first one. Sorry, maybe a little too much information there. I kept Emily in with me since she usually takes her morning naps during our meetings and we didn't have a craft today so I didn't need my arms anyways. Emily opted to stay awake for the speaker talking about marriage and forgo her nap. I thought that was kind of odd seeing as she isn't even married but whatever Emy. She fell asleep on the way home.
Actually, on the way home we stopped by Old Navy to return a bunch of clothes that we didn't end up using for the photo shoot. I bought several extra things in case we didn't find anything at Children's Place and since I found a bunch of cheaper, cuter clothes at Children's Place, I had a bunch of stuff to take back. Haley was kind of cranky during the five minutes that we were there. She kept asking for candy, I guess that's what she wanted for lunch. We went home and I made chicken nuggets instead. She ate three of them which has got to be some kind of record for her. I was pretty excited about it actually, her body won't know what to do with all of that protein! Actually it might be okay because I'm not sure how much protein processed chicken nuggets really have.
I put Haley and Emily down for naps together in their room. Emily has been napping so much better in her crib, hopefully that means we can take the swing down soon. I have such a love-hate relationship with that swing. I hate it in my living room, but I love the help it gives me in putting babies to sleep. I could hear Emily babbling in her crib for the first five minutes or so but she eventually fell asleep and I guess it didn't bother Haley because I didn't hear anything from her. Those girls ended up sleeping two and a half hours, it was nice because I got to talk to Mimi for a while and hear how things are going in PA. Emily woke up first and I waited a little before I went in so it could wake up Haley. It was already after four and I didn't want Haley to sleep much longer. David had gotten home and was looking at the roof. Oh yeah, I forgot to say. We got back from MOPS and a piece of our roof had come off. It has been super windy the past couple of days and the telephone wire is connected to the eaves part of our roof and it came off. Anyways, it sounds a lot worse than it is but here is a picture:
| See, it's really just the sideways part of the roof. It's kind of hard to see in this picture but you can kind of see the rafters and brown insulation. |
Haleyism:
Haley is a closet paci-lover. She wakes up in the morning, mumbles a bunch of jibberish that ends with the word 'baby' and throws her paci. No joke.
Emilyism:
Emily is starting to make monkey-like sounds. Exhibit A is the video below.
