Sunday

Sunday the girls slept pretty good.  Haley woke up once at 6:30 needing to use the potty but went right back to sleep.  Emily woke up around 7:30 and we just made her a bottle of formula and she drank that fine.  We are so excited that Emily is beginning to take formula in addition to taking a bottle.  We got up and started getting ready for church around 8:30.  Katelyn fed Emily some kind of nasty baby food for breakfast.  Haley woke up just before we needed to leave.  Actually, Emily needed a diaper change and clothes so I took her in to Haley's room to change her.  She was kind of crying because she was a cold naked baby so that helped wake up Haley.  On the way to church, Haley said she needed to use the potty, but she said she could wait till we got there.  I took her right away and she went fine.  Then she ate half of a chocolate donut.  After the service, she ate 3/4 of a vanilla donut with sprinkles.  We stayed around talking for quite a while after church and Haley got kind of cranky by the end.  Then we came home and reheated the leftover pizza from Sam's and ate that for lunch.  We put it on a pizza stone and it was really good but some little piece of cheese must have fallen off the side and on to the hot part of the oven...I smelled it again when we got home just now.  Anyway, after lunch Haley played for a little bit while Emily finished trying to eat her cereal and even a couple pieces of pizza.  You would think she needs teeth but she just gums the pieces of cheese and swallows them.  She sucks all the sauce off the crust and may have even swallowed a piece of crust.  After playing for a while we put them down for a nap.  Actually, Katelyn took a nap too.  I am reading King's Cross by Timothy Keller, so I just did that for a while.  Haley was the first to wake up.  She wanted to pee on the potty and drink some juice.  I gave her the juice and then we came out to the den where mommy was sleeping.  I told her to be quiet so mommy could keep sleeping.  We were just pulling up an episode of Arthur when she said something too loudly and mommy woke up and asked what we were doing.  I think she was still tired though because she didn't get up right away.  We were able to squeeze in a couple episodes.  Then we started playing and reading books.  At one point Katelyn and I were talking and Haley left for a bit.  When she came back she was holding a little box of raisins.  We don't buy raisins but it looked very familiar.  I actually don't know if she has ever even eaten one, but she insisted, so I opened it up and gave her one.  She liked it and ended up eating the whole box.  I guess it will keep her regular by balancing out all the cheese she eats.  I kept trying to think of where we got those raisins and Katelyn said she got them from the pantry.  Then I remembered, a friend of Katelyn's had brought a little gift bag with some goodies in it for Katelyn when she was in the hospital after giving birth to Emily.  Those are some old raisins!  I guess there's not much that can happen to fruit that is already dried up and shriveled.  Today she was pretty good about going number two on the potty.  She felt it coming and told us and had no accidents!  After playing for a while, Emily woke up and wanted to play too.  They had slept pretty long so it was pretty late.  I spoke to mom on the phone for a while and then we needed to leave because the Caldwell's had invited us over for dinner.  We ran by Walmart real quick to pick up some Ice Cream and then headed that way.  Haley played pretty nicely with the girls.  She used the potty several times.  One time she accidentally peed on the tail of her onesie because I didn't pull it out of the toilet in time.  Then after that, she had a legit accident.  Emily heard there was a accident competition so she brewed up a nice diaper explosion.  It really was about the smallest explosion you could have though.  Just a little came out through her leg hole.  We changed it quick and then the 4 little girls got into the bathtub.  By the end of the evening, Haley was getting kind of whiny and mean so we took our to pajama girls and headed home.  Emily fell asleep in the car seat and Haley read a few books before going to bed.
