We say goodbye to Pretzel

Last night Emily woke up just after midnight which was just when we were heading to bed.  I really didn't think she should be hungry but she wouldn't settle after a couple attempts with the paci so I finally gave in and fed her.  She ended up waking up again but neither of us can remember when.  I didn't feed her again until close to eight so we are getting in longer stretches between feedings I think.  I need to write down the times that she wakes up because I usually have no recollection in the morning.  We ended up getting up around 9 or so and then heading to the gym for our spot at ten.  David and I ran and then I took a shower and he picked up the girls.  I got out of the locker room just in time because as I was walking up, Haley was asking to use the potty.  I took her and she went and then we headed home.

We really just went home to eat lunch because as soon as we had eaten we headed out again.  We are getting family pictures taken tomorrow afternoon and I wanted to find some semi-coordinating outfits for the girls.  David and I both have a lot of navy so we just needed something to go with that.  Our first stop was Old Navy because they tend to have a lot of navy, they have to I guess.  I found several cute sweaters and pant sets but it was all kind of expensive.  We decided to just buy the best of what we could find and then take it back if we found something better.

Well, the something better was just a couple stores down at the Children's Place.  Not only did they have similar clothing for a much lower price, they also had a random Easter party going on!  No joke, we walked into the store and there was a lady by the entrance handing out lemonade and cookies.  She even had water bottles if we didn't want lemonade!  The cookies were limitless, we could have as many as we wanted!  Well, as many as we wanted to grab as she was standing there watching us which is usually no more than two because then you just start to kind of feel like a tool.  The icing on the cake was at check-out when the cashier grabbed a package of peeps (those yellow marshmallow birds) and said, "you get free peeps with ever purchase."  I felt like he should have been joking or something.

By the end of Children's place the kids were ready for naps.  I had been hoping to stop by Target and Kohl's but we went to the jewelers instead and then home.  The jeweler had finished my ring so we had to pick it up.  I'm super happy with it, here's a picture:

The girls went straight down for naps without any fuss, they were tired.  I was bringing dinner to that couple from church who just had a baby so I got working on that after a bit.  Emily did not sleep very long so after she woke up David went to Kohl's to get an outfit for the new baby and then to Target to buy a game I told him I was going to get him for Valentine's day and then forgot.  Oops.  The game is Ticket to Ride, Kimi has mentioned it before in her blog.  It is super fun and the bonus is that you can play it with just two people so Dave and I can just play it if we get rejected by all of our friends.

While they were gone I made dinner and pound cake for dessert.  Haley woke up while he was gone.  She has been waking up from naps with a dry pull-up lately so hopefully we will be able to switch to panties for naps soon.  Every so often she sleeps a super long time and goes into really deep sleep and really fills it up though so I'm kind of nervous.  I think we'll wait a while longer.  I was just finishing dinner when David and Emily got home.  He helped me pack up the dinner, the dog, and the kids and then we headed out.

It's been a nice couple of days with Pretzel but we were ready to send him home.  I think Haley was the happiest to get him out, she has been saying 'bye bye puppy dog' since he arrived.  Suleidy and Gustavo were happy to see their little dog.  We got to see the new baby, he reminds me of Haley when she was little. He's super small and dark complected.  His eyes are already super dark too, like Haley's were.  We didn't stay too long since it was all of us.  It was long enough for Haley to use the bathroom though and ask to jump in the baby's crib.  She jumped in his crib a couple weeks ago when we had Bible study at Suleidy's house and wanted to do it again.  It was before he was born and, in my defense, I was in the other room studying the Bible and I didn't know she was in his crib jumping until she fell out and started crying.  Come to think of it, I'm not sure why she would want to jump in there again anyways.

We headed home and I put our dinner in the oven and picked up a little bit because we were having Jon and Sarah Creech for dinner.  We invited them to hang out and play our new game with us.  Emily hadn't taken a very long afternoon nap so she went to bed shortly after dinner and we turned on a Dora movie for Haley.  Haley did really well during the game.  She watched her movie and jumped on the couch for most of the time.  At one point we looked over and she had taken her pants off.  I checked to make sure it wasn't because she had an accident or something but she hadn't.  I guess she just wanted more freedom to jump.  She went potty numerous times while the Creech's were here, including a huge boo in her little potty.  After each potty success she would come over and have everyone give her a high five.  After a while we put Haley to bed and then talked a while with the Creech's and then they headed out.

Haleyism:
After Haley got her cookie and lemonade at the Children's Place she started dancing around.  She really did feel like it was a legit party, haha.

Emilyism:
Emily is not a fan of carrots.  She liked them when she first tried them but now she is not a fan anymore.

I forgot to take pictures today so I included some old ones from this fall:

Sisters

Emily used to be so small.  Her face is so fat in this one!

Haley pretty much looks the same
