Anyway, Haley and Emily didn't sleep so great. Once when I woke up, I looked at my phone because I had told Katelyn they update automatically only to find that it still read 1:36 just like the clock in our room. I started getting more nervous. It wasn't till I was at church that someone told me the time actually changes at like 3:59am or something weird. Emily keeps waking up to eat, but Katelyn says she's not really hungry, she's just used to it. I don't remember all this stuff from when Haley went through it because it was so long ago. We finally got up around 8:30 and started getting ready for church. I got Emily ready right after mommy fed her some applesauce since she woke up first. Haley slept till it was time to go. We kind of had to hurry because we had to swing by Starbucks and get coffee for church. A lot of families were gone because of spring break and virtually all the LeTourneau students were gone too. Haley went to #1 and #2 while at church. Most of her little friends were not there though so that was kind of sad for her. You could tell she was a little more clingy than usual. Katelyn was in the nursery with the little kids. There were only two plus Haley since so many people were gone. The Creech's have been looking for a church and they visited ours this Sunday, so we had them over for lunch afterwards. We had leftover pork tacos. They were super good. Haley ate some cheese and part of a tortilla. Emily had some sweet potatoes. Then they both went to sleep. The Creech's stayed and talked a while and then left cuz Jon had some schoolwork to do. After cleaning up the kitchen, Katelyn took a nap and I read for a while. Then I fell asleep too. Haley was the first to wake up. We played until Emily and mommy woke up. She wanted me to read Curious George to her. I opened up to the first page where he is eating breakfast with the man in the yellow hat. She said she wanted to eat a waffle so a few minutes later we sat back down with a waffle to finish reading the book. George has a bunch of people over for his birthday. It's pretty fake. I know that if I saw a dude dressed all in yellow and he had a pet monkey there would be no way I would let my kid visit that house! Anyway, after the story, mommy woke up and shortly after followed Emily. We ate some snacks and then headed out to the park. We walked for a bit and then let Haley play on the slide and the other toys. She really is fearless. She goes down head first and it's not like she sees other kids doing it. She just figures she will try. It was pretty cold today (high 50's) so we made sure to leave before the sun completely set because that park gets cold instantaneously once the sun goes down. When we got home, we had dinner quick. Haley ate a few bites of pizza and some cereal. Then we played more. She really wanted to watch Dora, but we convinced her to play with toys and with Emily until bedtime. The nice thing is that bedtime seemed to come sooner because of daylight savings. We read them their Bible story and put them to bed. I gave Emily an infant massage just in case she is sore from growing...although her fastest growing body part is her belly and I didn't massage that :) We will see how it goes. Maybe I can convince Katelyn to play Ticket to Ride tonight. She beat me twice last night by quite a few points. When you play with just two people it's easy to get greedy we realized, but you still only have a limited number of trains so you gotta be careful.
Haleyism: Haley knows all the motions for the wheels on the bus verses. Katelyn found out in astonishment during nursery.
Emilyism: Hopefully Emily will begin her sleep training tonight! If you are up between 1am and 7am PRAY!
Getting ready for bed.
I wonder why sleep training isn't working?
A blog post at 7:30pm! Wow! I commend you!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I love the pictures of the girls in the crib. They are adorable!
Also, I agree with the spring forward 23-hours idea. Good thinking. I think it will take off like wildfire.
What did the Creechs think of your church?
It rained here today!
