"A fair is a wonderful smorgasbord smorgasbord smorgasbord, after the gates are shut. Each night, when the lights go out it can be found on the ground all around. Oh, what a ratly feast!" -who is this quote by?

Saturday morning Katelyn had scheduled a slot for Emily at the gym at 8, but conveniently the babies were still sleeping so we just cancelled it.  She set up a slot for me at 11 though, because she had a baby shower to go to over lunch.  Emily woke up first but just came to bed with us to eat.  She fell asleep pretty close to me because I was getting pushed off the edge of the bed.  Then Haley woke up wanting to go to the bathroom.  I took her and she went pee a lot.  Her diaper was a little wet so it's not like she held it the whole night.  That would be too cool.  Then I brought her into bed with us.  Emily was hogging the whole middle of the bed along with a good chunk of my side so I lay on the very edge and held Haley close to me so that we wouldn't smash Emily's arm, which was outstretched.  She was sleeping on her belly in the shape of a T.  Haley couldn't resist talking to the sleeping Emily, and eventually she woke her up.  After the four of us talked for a few minutes, Haley asked to go to the potty again.  It can be kind of frustrating because she knows that when she says "pupu potty!" we will stop whatever we are doing to take her.  I know she has said it before just to keep from doing something.  However, she basically pees in squirts.  I have watched her and she basically pushes a squirt out instead of relaxing to let it all come out.  Basically this means that she always has a little left that she can go if she really needs to.  I'm not sure if this is just a weird Haleyism or if it is sheer genius.  Anyway, you never wanna risk it, especially if the accident would happen in YOUR bed so I got up and took her over to the potty.  Then I asked if she wanted a waffle.  She asked for cheese but that's ridiculous, so I made her a waffle.  She actually ended up eating 1.5 while Emily ate some KIX cereal and even sucked on a couple pieces of Haley's syrup soaked waffle.  Mommy took a shower and got ready to go to the baby shower.  Meanwhile, I got the girls ready for the day and got in gym clothes to go work out.  Haley was happy to go play with toys at the gym.  Both girls did pretty well.  Emily didn't cry for them and they said Haley didn't have any accidents.  The first thing Haley did when she saw me was say "PUPU POTTY!".  The girl looked at me and said they had taken her 5 times already.  Actually, I just remembered that right before I checked them in, Haley needed to pee so I took her.  That makes 7 times in an hour...she definitely has something cooking.  After the potty, we went back to get Emily.  Haley held on to the little door that separates the kids' area and kept wanting to play with the kids through the cracks in the gate.  Finally she accepted going home when I promised her pizza.  We headed home and Haley ate about a half a piece of leftover pizza.  I hadn't really thought about it though.  Katelyn and I usually order meat lovers.  Haley is not in that category.  I had to pick it all off for her to eat it which meant it really didn't have much cheese on it either.  She will eat the pepperoni if that's all that's on there, but I think she got carried away picking everything off.  Emily had fallen asleep in her swing as I tried to feed Haley but then she woke up too so I fed her some sweet potatoes Katelyn had left.  They both went to sleep just before Katelyn got back.  Emily was the first to wake up.  We just put her paci back in though, and she fell back to sleep.  It was my bad, Katelyn hasn't been putting her down for naps in the swing recently cuz she doesn't like it and I forgot.  She sleeps so much better in her crib.  I think she just likes to be on her belly.  Haley then woke up and we just played for a while.  Yesterday, Katelyn drove by the mall and saw the carnival was in town and told Haley we could go today.  We asked if she wanted to go and she really did so we got ready and woke up Emily  so we could go before dinner.  As we pulled up to the mall, I'm guessing she could just barely see the ferris wheel and she started screaming with excitement.  It was pretty cute.  She wanted to hold Emily in the stroller again like yesterday so we stuck them both in there.  Haley likes the merry go round but pretty much nothing else.  First she rode the merry go round with Katelyn, then we walked around asking if she wanted to ride anything else.  There is a train thing and she loves trains so we tried to see if she would do it alone because parents do have to pay on that one but not on the merry go round.  She said it was ok by herself so we loaded her on and I bought some tickets for me just in case.  She sat up in the locomotive engine and another little girl sat up there with her.  I don't know why I didn't assume she would love it if other kids were there and wouldn't need her parents.  She did like the train ride.  After that we asked if she would like to ride the train again or the horses with the remaining tickets.  She said horses.  I went with her the second time.  After that we ran over to Walmart to pick up some things.  Has anyone else's Walmart been stocking milk that's only good for like a week?  We just bought a half gallon because we can't finish it in time.  Anyway, then we came home and Haley watched Dora while we ate and fed Emily.  Then the girls had a bath.  Emily was in there first, sitting in the bumbo.  I was with Haley, watching Dora.  Katelyn started yelling for help and I ran in there so see that apparently Emily had hidden some poop in her crack when Katelyn took her diaper off in the bathroom.  She must have stuck her right into the bumbo in the tub which I had filled a few minutes earlier.  That warm water must have loosened it up and started to disolve it because there was Katelyn bent over dangling Emily over the surface of the water with poop all in there.  I emptied out the bumbo and ran more water.  Haley was curious and came in from the den.  Once everything was rinsed, we refilled the tub and stuck both babies in there for a bath.  They really had fun.  Then we got them in jammies and Emily lay on the tummy time mat while Katelyn ate and Haley finished her movie with me feeding her cheese and ice cream.  She eats a lot of dairy.  Then we put them to bed.

Haleyism: Haley is not sleeping great.  She keeps crying now.
Emilyism: Emily was held at the fair by some of Katelyn's old students who we randomly saw there.
