After BSF we came home and had lunch with David. Then the girls played in the den for a while before naps. Emily was super tired but she still talked in her crib for a good ten minutes before going to sleep; she loves to fight sleep. Haley slept just over two hours and Emily woke up after sleeping nearly three. We fed Emily a snack and attempted to give Haley one too but she was being so cranky. Initially when she woke up from her nap she was super happy but after a couple minutes she was all out of sorts about something, I don't even remember what it was anymore. She ate a couple pieces of cheese for snack but was still cranky so then we just decided to go to the gym and give her a change of scene. That must have been what she wanted because she was much happier after we picked her up about forty-five minutes later.
After the gym we went and picked up Chloe Watson from school. Melanie Watson had a final to give this evening and had asked if we would pick her up. I offered to take her to church with us too and Melanie said that was okay so after we picked her up we came home and played for about thirty minutes and then headed to church. Chloe and Haley really packed in some playtime in that half hour. They were walking around with babies and the stroller and arranging their babies in different rooms in the house, it was so sweet to watch them play.
It was a bit more work to have three children during the potluck than just two. Chloe and Haley both tend to be messy eaters and they were eating pizza, hot dog, and iced cookies. A couple times one of the cleaner moms came over and wiped their hands off. I usually wait 'til the end and just take them to the bathroom and do it all at once but I guess it can be gross to watch a kid with pizza sauce and ketchup on their hands trying to eat a cookie. I was holding Emily so I wasn't quite able to wash their hands between 'courses.' David and I were in charge of the kids program so we put Emily in with Haley's class. At one point I looked in at the girls and they had Emily in one of the plastic tubs that the toys are stored in, haha. After church we stayed and cleaned for a bit and then headed out. We took Chloe home on our way and Haley cried when she left. I would say that it was super sweet of her but I think she was just crying from being tired at that point. Emily fell asleep on the way home. As soon as we got in we put them in pajamas and put them to bed, they went right down.
Haleyism:
Haley is getting much better at speaking in full sentences. When we dropped Chloe off she said, "I want to see baby Claire." Before she would just say, 'see baby Claire.'
Emilyism:
Emily's paci dropped out of her mouth on my way out the door to BSF this morning so she didn't have it in her class the whole time. The workers said she did really well without it. I told them we'll have to forget it everytime and the lady was quick to add, "well, she did fuss a little bit..." haha.
We forgot to take pictures today so I included some old ones:
