Happy Birthday Aunt Rin! Love Haley and Emily

Today is Aunt Rin's Birthday!  We are so sad that we aren't with Aunt Rin on her Birthday but we CAN'T WAIT to see her when she comes back to the states in July!  Poor little Emily has yet to meet Aunt Rin so we are really looking forward to that.  Aunt Carly made a video tribute for Aunt Rin and Haley watched it over and over this morning, I think it's her favorite video right now.  We love you Aunt Rin and we can't wait to see you soon!  Aunt Rin is probably the aunt that Haley knows best since she was around for Haley's first year and a half of life.  I'm not going to lie, Aunt Rin practically raised Haley through those baby months!  I went back to work for eight weeks when Haley was seven weeks old and Aunt Rin watched her A LOT during those weeks.  Needless to say, I have about a billion pictures of Haley and Aunt Rin, here are a few:

Haley loves to cuddle with Aunt Rin.  She still has that paci too, it's her last one!

I had to put this one in because I love Jay's photo bomb, haha

Aunt Rin put this together for Haley when she turned one

Haley was at Rin's graduation.  She yelled out 'Aunt Rin' when she walked across the stage to accept her diploma.

Haley used to go with Aunt Rin to watch future Uncle Daniel play soccer

Here are future Uncle Daniel, Haley and Aunt Rin last Easter

This is by far my favorite of Aunt Rin, Haley, and future Uncle Daniel

Oh man, we can't wait to see you again Aunt Rin!

Yesterday was Monday, I usually clean and do laundry on Mondays, but there was a storage auction I wanted to go to so I did that instead. David left for a flight around 7:30 and at 8 I got a call because he had forgotten his wallet and needed us to go drop it off.  I was still in my pj's so I put on some clothes, packed up the kids, and we headed out. The girls were pretty excited to see Daddy, even if it was just for a couple seconds.  Then we drove home and I quickly took a shower before the storage auction.  We actually ended up running a little early so I stopped by a park on the way to the auction and fed Emily.  I know that sounds ridiculous because I should have fed her before I left, but I thought I was gonna be late and I really wanted to get there on time.  The auction was in Longview and there were four storage units for sale.  None of the units went for very much and there wasn't anything very good in any of them so I couldn't justify bidding but it was still fun to go.  The first unit they sold had a big stuffed teddy bear in it that Haley noticed right away.  As it was over, when we walked away, Haley yelled out "Bye bear!"  Since the girls had done pretty well, we stopped by a park on our way home.  Emily fell asleep in her infant seat while we were there and Haley ran around and went down slides and I pushed her on the swings.  Then we headed home.

I had arranged to meet my friend Jannette to go over MOPS stuff around noon.  So when we got home I fed the girls and shortly after Jannette arrived.  Haley was so excited to play with Zane (2) and Karis (4).  Jannette and I got a lot done and they ended up staying almost two hours.  After they left, I put Haley down for a nap.  Emily had gone for a nap around 12:30.  Haley was pretty cranky by that time.  She started crying when I put her to bed and it woke up Emily.  I got Emily up and let her play for a little bit but she was still tired so I put her in the swing ans she fell asleep in there. When Haley woke up, she played while I started dinner.  Shortly after, Emily woke up too.  They played with tupperware on the kitchen floor while I got dinner in the oven.  David got home around 5:30 and as soon as he did, we packed up and went to the gym.  David and I ran while Haley watched a movie in childcare and Emily hung out I guess.  I don't know what she did.  On our way home from the gym, we stopped by the Freeman's house and picked up Ella so we could help her with her Spanish.  She has exams this week and I offered to help her study.  Haley was so excited to bring Ella home.  I think she thought she was coming just to play with her.  We ate dinner and went over spanish vocabulary.  Then Emily stayed with Ella and I while David took Haley to Kohls to spend some Kohls cash which was about to expire.  She had to use the potty while they were looking at shoes.  Kohls has a great family bathroom.  It has a miniature potty just for babies like Haley.  When Haley saw it, she said "crazy potty".  The bathroom had just been cleaned so David felt comfortable letting her actually sit on it. Then they came home and he put them to bed with a short assistance from me to breastfeed Emily.  Ella left shortly after and we went to bed.

Tuesday was also a pretty slow day.  We had decided to get up early and do our devos before the kids wake up.  It really was nice to have it done.  Katelyn was just finishing up by the time Haley and Emily woke up.  Haley ate a waffle and Emily had some bananas and the leftover of Haley's waffle.  Katelyn and I had a bowl of cereal.  We just played for a little while and then got ready to go to the gym.  We dropped the kids off in childcare and ran a couple miles and then Katelyn went to shower while I went to get the kids.  I had to kill time till Katelyn was done so I asked if Haley wanted to go outside to see the geese.  There are some geese that nested by the pond where we run and they have like 5 babies in that awkward teen age.  First she said yes, but when we got to the door to go outside, she yelled no and didn't want to go.  She was much happier to just stay inside and practice climbing.  We went up and down the stairs a few times and then she climbed on this bar counter top looking thing that has a ledge that gets skinnier as you go to the ends.  She would walk sideways all the way to the very tip where there was nothing left for her feet to stand on before she would turn around and do the same thing at the opposite extreme.  Soon mommy came out and we headed home.  We ate lunch really quick and I went to the chiropractor's office.  Katelyn took the girls to Walmart to buy some stuff we needed for tomorrow night.  Haley had to use the potty there but it worked out because a stranger who was leaving the bathroom came back in and offered to help hold Emily while Katelyn took Haley.  Emily started to get tired by the end and lay her head down on the shopping cart handle.  When I got home, Emily was sleeping in her swing and Haley in her bed.  They were still sleeping when I left to go help some people move.  Then I rushed back and picked them up to go to Bible study.  The Freeman's had offered to watch the kids while we went to Bible study so we headed that way and dropped them off there.  When we were done and went to pick them up they told us Emily is the easiest baby.  Haley did not like Caelan, their 16 year old son, whom she has never not liked before but she would just point at him.  The whole family was sitting in the living room watching some three little pigs thing.  They were surprised that Haley went up to Meg and said "can I have a cup with some water please?"  She also said "watch Dora please." but the three little pigs was the best they could do.  They said Emily loved Molly, their dog and would go crazy whenever she would walk by.  Then we came home and Haley ate some applesauce and we read them their Bible story before they fell asleep.

Haleyism: Katelyn told Haley she had to use the bathroom to which Haley replied "Don't go yet, Don't go yet!"
Emilyism: Emily was crying and Haley kept handing her toys and saying over and over "Emily, whats the problem?" which is what Katelyn says.  Emily has been on a hunger strike.  She feeds herself fine but doesn't like the baby food.  Maybe she just wants to be miss independent.
