Tuesday we had our last meeting of MOPS in the morning. I have been going early to help set-up and Haley has definitely gotten the hang of that routine. She follows me around while I move tables and put out tablecloths and decorations. It's super convenient because I never have to worry about where she is, she's always right behind me. When it's time to go to her class she grabs her backpack and goes happily. This is a far cry from last year when I was called out to get her almost every MOPS meeting. The last meeting was a lot more laid back than other meetings so I just kept Emily with me. We did a craft and had a lot of games and prize giveaways. Emily was happy to be held and passed around.
After MOPS I invited a friend and her kids over for lunch. Her name is Janette and she has a five year old girl named Karys and a two year old named Zane. Janette and I are going to be co-coordinating MOPS next year so we had to meet and select our steering team for this coming year. We fed the kids lunch and let them play outside while we met. Emily was super tired so she barely ate anything and then I put her down for a nap. Haley went down for a nap just before they left. I was planning on waiting until they left but she was getting so tired and subsequently cranky, so I just put her down.
Janette and her kids left just after 2:30 and a couple minutes later Emily woke up. She still seemed tired but just wanted to be held. I spent a lot of the afternoon holding Emily until Haley woke up from her nap and David got home from work. I was meeting with my women's Bible study from church for dinner so I put David and Haley's dinner in the oven and then headed out with Emily. David couldn't take Emily because he needed to go out to the airport to get his airplane ready for his flight tomorrow. He also thought he was going to have to get night current in the airplane and take three take-offs and landings in the dark so he wanted to take Haley along for the ride. In the end he ended up needing to take a different airplane so he didn't get to take her up but she did get to ride the tractor and help him fuel the other plane. When I got home Haley kept telling me about how she was climbing on the tractor and riding on it with daddy. David said that she kept talking about stuff she likes. For example, she said, "I like airplanes," then "I like mommy," then "I like Emily," then "I like the van" and so on. He said it was super cute. Emily did well for me. We were eating at Katie Hopkin's house and she just had a baby about two months ago so she had a bunch of baby stuff. Emily was tired so she ended up sleeping in baby Hannah's crib for most of the night. When Emily and I got home we hung out with Haley and Daddy for a bit and then David and I put the girls to bed.
WEDNESDAY morning Emily woke up at 5:15. I fed her and put her back to sleep but she woke up again after about ten minutes. I brought her back to our bed because David was just getting up for work anyways. I fed her on my other side and then laid her on David's side of the bed but that didn't last either. She wanted to be held and cuddled. I held her to sleep and ended up waking up about thirty minutes later because I felt something cold on my arm, it was Emily's drool, haha. She kept waking up on and off until my alarm went off. By that time I was empty so I ended up making a bottle for her and giving her that. I fed her until she was sleeping and then left her in the bed while I jumped in the shower. I was maybe halfway through my shower when I heard her start to cry. A couple minutes later I heard Haley's door open and close and then I heard her talking to Emily saying, "It's okay Emy, it's okay!" She said that several times and then she came into the bathroom and pulled open the shower curtain and said, "mommy, Emily's still crying!" It was so cute. I hurried out of the shower to get Emily but Haley had cuddled next to her and so Emily had stopped. I think she just didn't feel well and wanted someone to cuddle with her.
Emily didn't really eat any breakfast, she really ate hardly anything besides milk for most of the day. I think she is either sick or her teeth are finally coming in. She was so tired that she fell asleep on the way to BSF. Today was our last official BSF meeting. Next week is a share time but they don't provide childcare so it was Haley and Emily's last time. We wrote thank-you notes for Haley's teachers and she colored in them. I let her carry them into the church because she wanted to and she dropped one on the way in. We went back to find it and someone had turned it into the the little lost and found area so that was nice. I told Haley she needed to give her teachers hugs and kisses so she did when she got there and also when she left, it was super cute. One of her teachers told me that Haley tends to hang out with the boys in her class far more than the girls. She said she likes to play around with them, almost like flirting. I told her I would let her father know! I think she probably does because she doesn't know any of the girls in her class outside of BSF but she has MOPS with most of the boys.
We stayed late after BSF to help baby-sit the childcare worker's kids while they listened to a recording of the lecture. It's only an extra hour and most of the time is spent eating lunch so it goes super quickly. Haley did not eat very much and Emily ate nothing. After BSF we came home and I put the girls down for naps. Emily fell asleep on the way home so I had to transfer her to the crib. Emily hardly slept two hours and when I went in to get her Haley woke up. David came home for a little bit in the afternoon. He had picked someone up in the morning and was waiting in Longview for most of the day. He got to see the girls for a while after they woke up and then had to head out again.
After David left I set up Emily in the swing and Haley and I cleaned out the pantry. Emily seemed to still feel a little under the weather but she eventually drifted off to sleep and slept for about an hour. She would have kept on sleeping but Haley got tired of the pantry and woke up Emily by stopping her swing. It worked out because it was almost time for church anyways so I fed Emily some dinner and made some macaroni and cheese for the potluck. Emily maybe ate a couple of Cheerios and still refused all other food.
At church I tried to feed Emily some roll but she refused. Haley more than made up for it by eating almost two whole pieces of pizza. She also ate a chicken nugget and some macaroni and cheese. I was almost as surprised by Haley eating as I was by Emily not eating! Our time at church was fairly uneventful except Haley kept hurting herself. She ran into the corner of a table which looked so awful but didn't even draw blood fortunately, she pinched her finger in a door, and finally she jumped up under a table and banged her head on the bottom of it and fell. She actually laughed for that last incident so that was good. After church I brought the girls home and gave them baths. David got home while they were still in the tub so he helped me get them out and ready for bed. Then we gave them a snack and put them to bed. Emily maybe ate two Cheerios for her snack.
Haleyism:
The other day Haley yelled out "Jesus loves the little children! All the children of the world!" It sounded so funny when it wasn't in a song.
Emilyism:
Emily stayed with me during the meeting part tonight. I had been putting her in with Haley's class but she was so clingy and cranky that I just left her with me. That was just what she wanted. She sat nicely in my lap and cuddled the whole time.

I think I have that same shirt for Ellie! She can look like a part of your family.
